Contrary to some myths, having sex underwater is not dangerous – it does not pose any harm that doesn’t already exist when having sex elsewhere.

You can get pregnant having unprotected sex in a pool as easily as you can get pregnant having unprotected sex any other time, according to Planned Parenthood. Pregnancy can happen “anytime ejaculate or pre-ejaculate is spilled in the vagina or on or near the vulva,” according to the Web site.

However, if a man ejaculates in the pool, hot tub or bath water instead of in or on you, there is no chance of becoming pregnant. Sperm survive in warm, moist places that are close to body temperature, but pool or bath water is usually too chlorinated, cold or diluted for sperm to survive. This does not mean “pulling out” before the man ejaculates will be effective at preventing pregnancy – even pre-ejaculate contains enough sperm to impregnate a woman.

But pregnancy isn’t the only concern with intercourse. You must protect yourselves from sexually transmitted infections as well. According to Planned Parenthood, condoms may be used just as effectively in water as long as they are used correctly. However, it may be hard to put on correctly underwater. During underwater sex, it can be harder to tell if a condom slips off. Also, the water may wash away the vaginal lubrication, increasing friction and discomfort during sex.

Although water does not affect the strength of the latex in a condom, oil-based lubricants can deteriorate latex. You should avoid oil-based soaps and shower lotions. In addition to breaking down the condom, the oils in soap can irritate the vagina during sexual activity, causing tears and cuts in the genitals that will increase the risk of infection, according to Planned Parenthood.com. Water-based lubricants are safest for use with latex condoms. Remember, condoms decrease your risk of sexually transmitted infections and pregnancy, but some STIs can still be passed via the skin-to-skin contact condoms don’t cover.

it's actually very bad for a woman because the water gets inside her and can cause alot of pain after or a yeast infection-- however sex in water is unbelievable for sensation.. but if you're gonna do it in water try a hot tub or in a bath-- not the ocean

I think having sex in a hot tub would be like f*cking in primordial ooze. Icky!! Listen, everytime the man pulls out and pushes back in, you get a little bit of ocean water, ooze, whatever, rammed into your vagina. Of course it feels good, but you do run a good risk of getting some kind of vaginal infection. which is fine I guess, if you like cheese. :-) (now that was bad!)

the only concern is water entering, and when he thrust may cause pressure to build up inside of you, and you may feel discomfort, because now , you have his member inside of you plus the water that was pumped into you by this action.
Just make sure the water is clean and clear, and not to stir up the silt or sand at the bottom, as this may enter you

slow and easy should be OK.

You may pick up an infection if the water is polluted. I say check to see if it is clear water and then go for it. People do it alot.

Feels great and I have never had any problems. The ocean is best with waves moving you up and down and slamming you closer together. Woo Wee

Not good since all of the natural protection is washed away leaving you prone to infections.
