Cellulite is not genetic but is caused by a number of factors.
These factors need to be addressed to find the right solution for you.
It is not just diet that will fix cellulite.
It is true that even skinny women can have cellulite and there are some models that have cellulite on their thighs and they certainly aren't carrying much weight.
It is also true that men can have cellulite.
Accepting that it is genetic will never solve a problem that can be solved if approached in the correct manner, but this really is for you to sort out based on information that is available and the lifestyle choices that you make.
Exercise and certainly weight training are highly effective in eliminating cellulite.

In all honesty there is no real way to get rid of cellulite. Storing fat as cellulite is determined by your genetics. You can lose weight which should help but creams and stuff are a scam. I had a friend who was anorexic-- she was the skiniest person I've ever seen. Way thinner than me. And she had cellulite on her thighs. Genetic. If your momma has it so will you.

you need to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. The 45 minute thing is not true, but don't over 60 minutes at a time.
Do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Good luck and stick at it.

I am so busy with my 5 kids (all under 8 years old!) and I hate exercising and dieting, life's too short! So I thought the only option for getting rid of my ugly cellulite was to book in with a set of weekly medical roller treatments. Job done.
However, they cost me a monstrous $3000 and, you guessed it, did absolutely nothing. I couldn't believe it. It left me thoroughly depressed.
I saw this info on the web and I gave it a go, what did I have to lose now! And, my god this is genius. Quick and easy. I feel so wonderful in my new, smooth, renewed figure! I am a yummy mummy now!

the one thing in common that scientists have pinpointed in ALL the anticellulite treatments: rubbing them in.
science has concluded that rubbing on your cellulite will help break up the dimples and make the chub appear more smooth. there are no chemicals or anything like that to help.
temporary results come from moisturizing it, but the second your skin soaks up the moisture, your dimples return.
(Everyone has cellulite- even hot male actors. it makes us real, not maniquins.)

I got rid of mine by cutting out junk food and drinking more water. I try to avoid sugar and white flour which makes me bloat and causes the dimples. Also cutting down on salt should help. You can try a cleansing diet consisting of just fruits, veggies, lots of water, lean protein, whole grains and green tea instead of coffee.
