Im so sick of the wild explanations.... "Youre reading something written from the perspectives of two different peoples."
COME ON PEOPLE _ these are two completely different stories. One has him kill himself and the money be used for a pottters field, the other has him spend the money himself and die as a result. So which acccount is it? You cant have both! I love the "traditional explanation" one.....so the person that wrote that perspective came along to find him fallen and burst open - but neglected to see the rope around his neck or the tree limb is was attafched to, and figured the guy tripped and fell, exploding upon impact.... How stupid do you think I am?

This verse does need to be correlated with Matthew 27:3-10. The simplest explanation may be found in the principle that, whereas in acts Luke records all events (such as the acts of Judas), Matthew distinguishes between what Judas did and what the priests did. Just as the priests were the ones who purchased the Potter's field with Judas's money after his death, so Judas may have fallen only in that he was thrown down on the rocks, not literally died twice.

Good observations. The reason is obvious, those writers are taking their notes from what they hear around not real witness to the events. It is just like what you hear about actors and actresses as their lives are written in the magazine or newspaper. Some reporters will write from what they see personally, some will take what others will tell them or just base their stories from the picture they have in hand. The worst are those paid to write whatever as long as there is some news to make or break the poor star. The New Testament have lots of accounts that fall into any of the categories I mentioned. The good excuse you will hear from the religions is that "They were written in different times, different places for different audience." So, they mean to say that God send different messages to different race? I will call it Chameleon God....that is probably why there is no peace in the world.

Judas sold out Jesus for 30 pieces of silver then went and hung himself. The account in Acts goes more into detail about what happened to him when the rope broke that was holding him to the tree. However the bowels also move themselves when you die .

If you do some intense study you will find it is two different places and if you go over there you will find there are two different places that are talked about here. One was purchased with money that he had taken in as the treasurer of the group and he misappropriated it to use to buy the land that he died on, hanged himself. So in effect he did throw the silver back to the priests and then went out and hanged himself by throwing himself down from a tree limb and as it says, he burst open and his bowels fell to the ground. Easy to try to take something out of context or try to put more into it than is really there but takes a bit of study to find the truth. I would suggest you study a bit more before making false claims about something you could have found if you had done the study.

Both are true. I believe the bowels falling out had to do with bloating after he hung himself (Or the rope broke after He bloated & then the bowels fell out). The purchase of the potter's field was because of Judas and the Priests. It was purchased for Judas through the Priests.

Remember that there is no one alive today that really knows the answers to the information in the Bible.
It was and always has been, some information passed down from one person to another, until
someone actually wrote something on paper.
Then you have to inerpret, what is written or what you think the person meant when he wrote it. Over thousands of years, (remember
the Old Testament was written (B.C.), things are added or changed, especially when wriiten
in a different language.
So, no one really knows! It's just faith!

Well,
First of all I don't hold to the (KJV)
Second, while there are variation because of translation, the meaning with the Bible is inerrant and has been preserved by the Holy Spirit.
I only follow the Catholic Approved Bible though.
Peace!

Multiple choice depending on what you want to believe. Here are a few choices to pick from:
1. You're interpreting it wrongly
2. The translation is wrong
3. It's inerrant as to spiritual truths but some of the factual details are not accurate
4. It's the inspired word of God, it's not inerrant at all because it was written by humans.
5. It's an historical document, more or less.
6. None of the above

There's also 2 Genesis stories which contradict... 2 Flood stories... When King David takes the census, one part says God told him to do it... the next says Satan told him to do it and it ticked God off. Many wars show that people can not count even simple things like horses in stables... or even the stables themselves. (Solomon) There are 2 stories about the 10 commandments.
The list goes on and on.
