If it is a capital one credit card you receive 3 positive credit reference per month and 36 a year.. Use your card, make your payments on time, don't go over your limit and keep the account up.. three things that are reported to the credit agencies are longevity of the account *how long it has been open* your balance and payment history.

If you have a lot of credit cards that you don't use, it will worsen your credit because creditors will see that you have all this available credit that could drive you into debt, but no history of paying your bills regularly.

they are good if you have availble credit and bad if they are maxed out.. a big part of your credit score is available credit
