How do you serve God?

I asked a question earlier about what the goal of a Christian is. Many people replied "To serve God" How do you serve God?

by being nice to your family, friends.
helping weak or poor/needy.
donating blood.
mentoring wayward kids

I think we were all created to worship God.

Part of that worship is service. We all have spiritual gifts we are given when we receive Christ as Lord of our life and savior. Those gifts vary from person to person but can include teaching, discernment, preaching, music, administration and other gifts which are shown in the Bible.

Church is changing folks, The people are the Church, and the people do the ministry, the Pastor has a ministry and is to teach the flock and be the administrator of the Church.

Service is done by using your spiritual gifts for God.

Live.
To live is to serve Him.
You are a part of everything.
God experiences through you.
He created you and gave you freewill.
You can't not sevre him.
You can choose to not believe, your freewill.
You can choose to do that which you think iks right and good.
Many would say this is to serve him, to love thy neighbor and all that sort of thing.
True, this would be most excellent, if you were to always follow the highest greatest thought.

You serve God my friend by default.
Nothing needed to do but to live and experience all that life allows you.

In serving God, the goal is to please Him. He has set down certain ideas, precepts, concepts, and principles about behaviours. When we take these principles and use them to handle everyday situations, we are applying God's traits to our actions, and the WHOLE world sees. The principle is summed up in, "let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in Heaven." It also speaks of the reason WE were reborn spiritually, "to do the good works of the Father."

In I Timothy is says, "Pure religion, undefiled before God the Father is this, that we visit (see to the needs of) widows and orphans in their troubles, and to keep yourself undefiled by the wisdom and actions of the world." (PP)

So, I guess the bottom line is WE do the good works which come from the Father before all men so they can see we are Children of the only GREAT and Holy God.

I serve god by laying my will aside and doing his will. Living out the purpose he has for me which is to speak his word to unbelievers and deliver people from the bondage and strongholds that one had me bond by telling my testimony and giving them the word of god to back everything i just told them about Christ up. i also serve god by being a blessing to other rather it be money, food, clothes, or by just telling a person about Christ. when Jesus comes back all i want to hear is "this is my daughter in whom i am well pleased"

I serve God by, Praying, going to church, and worshiping Him.,and read my Bible. I seek God for the will of my life. When He saved me, He changed me. My desire is to live my life pleasing to Him. I tell others about Jesus, and how to be saved. As a Christian, we should live our life apart from this world. Others should see Jesus in us. I put my Faith, and Trust in the Lord. He is my everything.

By going to church, giving your tithes, praise offerings, time and talents and obeying God's commandments.

By being a good Christian in your daily life (i.e. in your thoughts, deeds & words).

By testifying every chance you get.

By not letting questions you see on this site go by that attack Christianity without answering them and backing up your answers with sound Biblical verse.

OK, so I'll give a real answer. I serve God by not trying to define him and by trying to live a decent life with respect for myself and others. Simple as that.
