y is it that so many ppl male and female think that being a parent, a good parent at that starts at the birth and an excuse for the guy not to help out the mother. she didnt get herself pregnant! her getting pregnant there was two ppl involved but while the baby is developing inside of her, she is the one responsible for everything then the father steps back into the picture after the child is born! no wonder our society is so ****** up!

Good point! Men suck and I'm sick of society viewing women simply as incubators.

Well its hard for some people to really get a grasp on the fact that a new life is coming into the world, and they helped to create it. Having that new baby, sitting there crying in your arms usually slaps such people back into reality. This is a weird analogy, but stay with me. Its like knowing smoking can cause cancer, but smoking anyway, only to find out youre dying. Some people just dont catch on until the evidence is right there in their face.

to me ebing a parent starts not only at birth, but after you conceived ,cuz after that everything you do for the child is "parenthood".No there are far too many cases where it seems as if fathers aren't taking responsibility, but then there are mothers out there like that too.If there were less premarital pregnancies,it might be a little different in our society.

The concept of being a parent should start when you become sexually active. You "could" become pregnant anytime you have vaginal intercourse, whether or not you are using protection. Kids today just don't seem to understand that.

No, being a parent starts as soon as the sperm and egg meet. It is up to the partner to help out around the house so the mom-to-be can rest.
