It's now only in my ex's name, and all of a sudden, he wants it off his name, and only in mine. He now says he will turn me in for fraud, even though all balances transferred were on a credit card we had jointly. What can I expect the credit card company to do to me?

It all depends when you transfers this and if you were still a Joint user. The credit company should of told you, that he removed you from the account. I would contact your lawyer immediately and get this resolved. If you didn't know you were removed that not your fault. That is the credit card fauilt. Credit card company won't do nothing.

There is nothing he or the card company can do. If you were authorized to use the card you can do anything you want with it. It is not fraud if the card was a joint account he is responcible for all purchases made especially if he gave you access to the accoutn by putting you as an authorized user, hes screwed

If it's only in his name now, it's his problem. Were you both on the account previously? It doesn't sound like you've done anything illegal. As far as the credit card company is concerned if you're not on the account, you're not obligated to pay.

as you are joint signers to the credit card he has to take responability for half of the outstanding bill whatever you do dont take his name of the card unless he pays you half of the amount.

it looks to me he wants out of this agreement and is trying to scare you into taking his name off it

the credit company will hold you both responable for the amount

Legally, he can't really do anything unless he can prove you charged up the balance and conspired to transfer it solely into his name and then leave him hanging with the balance.

However, if it is your debt (even partly your debt) it's best to take the part that's your's and pay it. Respect your money and your debt and you'll be in better financial shape for it.

Did you transfer the balance after you were divorced or before?

Before they won't do anything after you could be in some trouble

Don't worry you just screwed you ex. I know because mine did it to me. yes that's right I didn't owe a dime, and she did. Isn't love grand. I paid it all off though and don't owe a dime again.

He (I know it's a him were all stupid) has no recourse. Of course that makes you the type of person that needs to be picked off by a sniper rifle.

he can't do anything about it. Yopu were on a joint acccount and you transferred while you were together, so its shared marital debt. Hes just trying to attack you,
