...maybe...

I mean, it'd be a real legal mess to legislate. It's almost impossible to conceive of rewriting marriage law to accomodate more than 2 partners. IF it can be done without too much confusion, without too many loopholes, etc etc... then yeah, sure.

I don't support it. I might consider it if it weren't so one sided. When people talk about polygamy, they are only referring to men having more than one wife - never women having more than one husband. If I don't have the option of having more than one husband, you don't have the option of having more than one wife.

Why am I the only one who has mentioned that polygamy is totally sexist???? No other women see anything wrong with the fact that this is condoned for men and never for women? I can't believe how many of you women out there just sit back and take it up the as* while society puts the old double standard to us. Sad.

My only real concern with polygamy is that I think it would indicate a serious imbalance of power between the parties. I can't see all parties being equal in that kind of setup.

Thanks For Your Question

Well I'm totally with it I mean if you check the rates of the females and males around the world you will be shocked that the females are allot more so it is difficult for women to fulfill their sexual and psychological needs through legitimate means in a
monogamous society, tell you what for a woman its better to have half a man than to have none

last thing to say is conservative researchers found that
60%-75% of men in the west are having at least one mistress at the same time after marriage

Polygamy is ok as long as they don't recruit them younger than the age of 25. When you're young and dumb you'll sign up for anything and not realize what you're getting into. Like those cults that have young girls assigned to older men and join their harem, that's sick.

I am not married so I don't really count, but I think being married is tough and I think polygamists see the extended families as a support system.
Seems like if a man wants to take on several wives that who an I to stop him?

I don't support the institution of marriage in general...so I will have to answer I don't support polygamous marriages.

Polyamorous relationships are a whole different story. :P

Thank you very much for your question.
Firstly, Polygamy is allowed in my religion...I do not support it. I have seen how women are psychologically broken down.

As President Jefferson said, "The legitimate powers of government extend only to such acts as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are 20 gods, or no God. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg."

Absolutely not, it is against everything God had in mind for us, even without God, Man and women should be as one not as three or four etc..its just not right. I would never agree to my husband having another wife as well as me, and I know he wouldn't want another one, he loves me with all his heart and wouldn't have enough room to share his love with another women.
