Lamisil cream, over the counter. Works better than the Tolnaftate cream or powder. It will kill the infection. As for your bathroom, just a good cleaning would do it.

Athletes Foot, to my knowledge, is a yeast infection. A friend of the family was in the navy. He had a severe case, the ships doctor gave him monostat 7 cream! Yes, that's right, same stuff a woman uses for a vaginal yeast infection. Well, it worked. As far as I know, he hasn't had any problems since. I have noticed that monostat makes a cream for athletes foot now. Check with your pharmacy. I don't know if it would be as effective.
With foot care one more thing that is helpful, make sure your feet are good and dry before putting your shoes and socks on. Even if it means using the hair dryer to dry them. Especially between the toes!

My husband gets athlete's feet from time to time. He pours bleach over his feet and in two days it is gone. Dries his skin out something awful. I also treat the shower with bleach in a spray bottle when he has it.

just make sure it IS athletes foot...sometimes it could be a rash associated with liver disease....

if the rash improves on your choice of treatment and does not come back when you are done with the course of treatment, i'd say your okay....if it's a chronic thing, I'd for sure get his liver tested as well as kidneys!

good luck!

you could ask him to shower in flip flops but i wouldnt worry about it spreading in the shower as long as hes using soap. Make sure he uses and anifungal cream and wears socks to bed.

Athlete's foot is one result of the Candida fungus, the same stuff that gives us girls vaginitis.

Check out yeast at www.hufa.org and help him get rid of it by eating plain - unsweetened - no fruit - yogurt.

EWWW!
Girl...yes...you must disinfect thoroughly unless you want to catch what he has too!
EWWW!
You are better than me...'cause I would make him go to a doctor about his itching, peeling, stinking feet!
