start your own discussion group. yahoo makes it easy to do. i would be happy to join in on discussions. i believe everyone has the right to choose what they believe in. it does not make them right or wrong it is just what they chose to believe. religion has been forced down so many throats that people are afraid of what to believe in.
good luck in your endeavor. hay if you git it started let me know, i would be happy to join in. you never know what you can learn from someone else.
blessed be,
Elizabeth

Because in rural communitites schools are taught by computers and these computers are connected to the internet to allow classes far away into the class room. There are certain rules:
#1 no chatting on line,. Because pedofiles can come and talk to the students. which are sometimes teenage girls.
Should we open that up to you for discussion with the children?
#2 no giving out personal information about themselves.
Can you see the harm in that?
Many more rules, like which web sites they can click into?
Protects the computers from computer virus.
This is not just for fun and games and promoteing certain religions. This is a class room where students learn about the outside world and current events and how people feel about these everts.
This school doesn't allow computer symbols like u 2.
So by playing on the computer they learn typing, proper english, spelling. The computer can also open them up to dangers.
This community has 250 people and the high school has 12 students. So they learn by computer. That is another reason that vulgar, obscene language and certain questions that are just plain nasty are destructive to a wonderful system.
Please report these people and keep this open for the students sake. There is hundreds of classrooms such as this all over the world learning from the internet. Let's try to keep it clean and informative. As adults when the children ask questions do you need to belittle them? They are learning in Social Studies why certain customs are in religion and where they came from.
I am sorry if the truth offends your religious sensitivities.
But I believe Children should learn the truth.
They are neither hateful or afraid of hate mail. But is it absolutely necessary?

Because religious based discussions are sometimes rather roudy, (noisy) and mostly you will get rude and angry mail blaming you for all the things that are not correct.
Very few will seek out a person to discuss healthy discussions.
I write against islam and I see it all the time in yahoo chat rooms how violent these people get if you talk anything against their views. Do we not have rights to talk of the violence they have inflicted on our people?
So to avoid discomfort even in emails, most refuse to take mails in their mail box.
My reason is only that. I dont want to wake up one morning and receive a rude email which will upset me just because I was strong enough to tell the truth and was not politically correct.

You've seen the other answers from people on here - - would you really give out your email address so that you could be harrased and berated by angry Yahoo! Answer users? Its a good thing that you don't judge or attack - - but there are alot of people who do and won't have a reasonable discussion.

You can always just leave a note at a different question of that person. I personally don't allow emails because I want to keep that private. I don't want others to know who I am or how to reach me (just in case my friends get on here and recognizes my email). Being unknown allow people to express who they truely are. Similar to you though, I don't like people making faith based arguements which don't even allow people to express how they feel--i.e. 'god is right, blah blah, you're wrong no matter how much scientific stuff you write, blah blah'...

I can understand not including a return address on the Internet. Too much of your information already goes out beyond where you want it to go.
However, I did get a religious tract delivered to my house without a return address. Apparently, someone saw the atheist bumper stickers on my car and decided to "help" me. It had stuff all through it about how this person was concerned with the condition of my soul and listed a recipe for remedying it. Of course, that claim of loving me and wanting me to be a part of his group was overshadowed by his lack of return address. Apparently, he loved me, but not enough to actually talk with me. LOL!

I understand your frustration because it happens to me all the time. Without fail, anyone who leaves a hatefull remark one one of my questions has no way for me to respond. Look at WhynotaskDon. The only place to find an e-mail of his is through his awful website, and even when I did try to send him an e-mail that way, it wouldn't go through.

Face it, most people do NOT have email.
Those of us that do have email are well aware of the vast amount of key rap that gets in without too much effort & to expose ourselves to a discussion of faith-based 'arguments' is contrary to minimum standards of good faith.
If I gotta splain it, you wouldn't understand!

I do not fly under the radar... I do not hide because of my faith.
I accept honest email questions concerning the basics of The Christian Faith. I ignore and block hate mail.
I am firm in my faith and have no need to entertain discusions with those seeking to divert me from what I know to be The Truth.
Like wise, I do not seek to "convert" any one by uninvited discussion or argument.
I invite any who may have honest questions, about "the basics" of The Christian Faith, to email me with them. or to visit my website where I talk about a bit of the "God Stuff"

All honest seekers welcome

I've posted similar questions. My email is always open. Some people say they're afraid of spam, but the service hides your true email address, so I don't understand that response.
