Yes it will work, especially with a light shade of green. Sage would work really well. Just stick with an earth tone of green to make it work, not some crazy bright neon or grass green. Just don't limit yourself to just those two colors either, make sure to throw in some whites or light beige's, like throw pillows or blankets, lamp shades, etc. to help the colors meld together and pop. But before you go to any major expense, just get some fabric or paint swatches and hold them up to your couch to make sure the tones work together. Hope this helps.

You didn't say, but do you have other things that are the light green color in your living/dining area? The colors you refer to sound pretty together, but if you have other colors, might clash. Even 1 or 2 small items with the same colors would help tie it together. Is it a solid navy blue or with some sort of pattern? If it is patterned, you would want solid lt. green. I would suggest to purchase a piece of fabric the color you like, lay it on the chair stand back& look, see what you think. Good luck!

Go with a nice light sage and see if you can find cushions that have a little bit of navy blue in with the green.

I think I would but buy an inexpensive swatch of cloth at a fabric store or several and lay them around the room to get a feel of the look. It's really better to use a color like that as an accent color - pillows, floor cushions, etc. Then if you get tired of it - out they go and new ones move in!

Light green is OK, as long as it's not a really bright shade; I'd stay more subdued. If you want to change it up a bit, maroon shades go well with the dark blue also. And when in doubt, you can go earth tones...tan, beige, etc. Heck, it's your place...do whatever turns you on!
Hope this helped.

blue and green work beautifully together. Esp. a light green.
Green is a nature color; think of blueberries on a light green stem.
It looks great doesn't it? Have fun decorating!

Get a color wheel. You can go online and find one. You can match colors up and it tells you what colors go together. You want one with a triangle in the center. It uses primary, secondary and intermediate colors. You want to look where the triangles point. I got mine at a scrapbook store. You can go to any craft store to get one. Mine spins.
