i'm starting a new school (highschool)and i'm sooo nervous any answers to my problem?

It's perfectly normal for people to be scared of going into high school, you never know what's gonna happen. All I can say is stick to your friends, but make sure they're the right ones.

It is fine to be somewhat nervous, because that will give you the energy to handle the situation. What you want to avoid is having your nerves put you over the top. I have two suggestions: First, try to stop, take a deep breath, and figure out exactly what is making you nervous. Is it that you are worried that no one will talk to you? That the schoolwork will be too hard? Once you isolate the issues bothering you it is easier to come up with a plan for how to deal with exactly those problems, should they arise. Secondly, try to focus on other people, rather than on yourself. If you think about your nerves, they tend to get worse and worse. If, instead, you pick out other people, and imagine what they are thinking (NOT what they are thinking about you!), your nerves go away. For example, pick out people who look really kind, and imagine what it would be like to be friends with them. Or look for someone who is hanging around the edges, not talking to anyone, and imagine how nervous they must be. You might even go up to them and try to make things easier for them!

if you're transferring from your neighborhood middle school to high school, just stick with your friends and be positive.

If you're getting transferred to a different high school, just be a friendly person, don't be a jerk, don't be annoying, and try to not be nervous. People like friendly people. And many people are friendly themselves, strike up a conversation and get to meet new people. If you're funny or a really interesting person, it'll be even easier. Just remember to not be nervous and be the new kid that everyone wants to befriend.
