It's not an easy one to deal with. I've been mourning over my broken heart for 2 years now and I have isolated myself from society and "normality" for so long, I've forgotten how to live. All my mourning and hoping for that which could never be has done is cause me more suffering. Do yourself a favour, allow yourself time to shed the necessary tears, have the necessary mood swings and take as much time out as you need. Thereafter, embrace all the memories that brought you comfort and warmth and forget those that brought you sadness. Be content with the fact that you were one of the few souls on this earth to actually truly experience the power of love and don't allow a single soul, whether you love them or not, to turn that love into hate. You're not the problem, you're undoubtedly the stronger lover in the relationship. You'll be fine, I know because I've been where you are and I'm sure you'll be able to deal with it better than I have. Be around friends and family who bring you a sense of happiness and security and if you need your space, you need your space...do what's going to make your spirits feel happier than what they are feeling now. It eventually boils down to forcing yourself by means of pretence to ultimately move on, and that way you'll end up excepting the situation is insolvable and you'll end up moving on involuntarily. Hope this helps. Hugz

Indulge the misery. Have a good hard cry. Play some sad music. Make yourself a gin martini with three olives. After a while, perform a ceremonial act. Write the person's name on a piece of paper and burn it. It will help you to release the misery to which you feel.
The risk of heart break is part of falling in love. The misery shall pass soon enough.

the pain won't just go away, work through it, talk to friends, lean on family members, hang out with people who love you. draw, write, watch movies. It'll hurt like hell for awhile, but the pain'll subside and you'll have learned alot that will help you in the future.

You can't make it go away it just takes time, staying active as much as it hurts is helpful. Avoid laying around in bed all day no matter how appealing it seems.

Quick!!! Go find a cute boy and tell him to give you a kiss!
Kidding aside - it will pass hon...and probably sooner than you think. Just say, "NEXT!" and wait for the next guy to come along...and hang onto your heart tight until you're sure he's THE one...someday.

The best thing you can do is to stay active. Hang out with your friends. Talk on the phone. Go for walks or runs. You have to get used to thinking about other things.
