I have an '89 Nissan Sentra- 4 dr with 270K miles. I would like to sell it, but I don't know how much to ask. I bought it for $1000 about 4 years ago. It has had no major problems, except that it needs a fuel pump now. The doors don't lock, the ignition switch is stripped, and it needs a windshield wiper motor. Despite these things, it is a very good car given the mileage--I think the originial owner had a new motor put in before I got it, since I've never had any engine problems.

Free to a good home seems like a deal to me. You can always donate it to goodwill and get a tax deduction, which would probably be more than you could ever get out of it on the market.

400-600 sounds fair considering all that needs to be replaced or fixed. Check your local newspaper and see what other people are selling theirs for.
