I just had the best summer of my life, with my boyfriend, and all our big group of friends hanging out together. We became eachother's lives and friends as you do. Last night, i asked advice on this about breaking it off with my boyfriend as things hadn't been going well for about three weeks. He is going through some kind of issue and he 'doesn't know' what it is. His behaviour is affecting our relationship because he's become kind of depressed, and can't talk to me all of a sudden!:S Anyway, we said that once he has sorted himself, we can maybe get back together...did i make a mistake in saying that? Anyway, it's the day after and i'm feeling pretty depressed, when i thought i'd feel relieved. What will i do?

Let me tell you something...

He KNOWS why he is acting this way. Sounds absurd doesn't it. This is the first sign he is not into you. If you love something let it go blah blah blah. Trust me on this sweetheart, let him go, that's what he wants. He is just too timid to break it off.

He wants to end it with you and has come up with a **** ty reason that makes him sound like less of an a s s hole. you should have seen right through his bullsh it. You were a summer fling and thats it...chances are in a month when he has figured his problem out you won't be the girl he will be getting with...he will probably find someone else who will magically lift the depression until the next time he wants to break up

No, you were right, he needs the wake up call and to seek help.
You are mourning the loss of the relationship. When we end relationships it is like we experienced a death. The closer you were the more you feel. Keep going forward. He needs to get help. If he calls and says he has the help, you can go back slowly, do the counseling with him. But make sure he is doing his part and getting help. Take care.

Just masturbate until you guys get back together, which sounds inevitable anyway.
