It depends. Are you man enough?? It takes a real man to be able to handle the fact that this women is a package deal. Can you handle it???? I'm a single mom through divorce and I have 2 kids. I will have to say that there are not many men who will date women with childern. All I know is that it really does take a true man to have the compassion, stregnth...etc.....to date the whole package.

Hi HNIC3...divorced mother of 2 here. Try this one on for size and see if it fits. I have 2 children that I love dearly but it would not be my first choice to date a man who has children. Why? Because I don't want to deal with baby mama drama and I don't know how his kids would mesh with mine. Having children and trying to date is hard. A person has the right not to want to date someone who has children and I am fully aware of this and I respect it. That being said, I don't want more children so I realize that my best bet would be to get with a man who already has a child so he won't be deprived of fathering a child biologically speaking, so I will go for someone who already has a child.

I was dating a guy with a child until the other day. Had to let him go because I want a family and he already has one. We are at two different places in our lives.

Personally, I wouldn't. Too much trouble to compete for the attention of the person you are dating just to be accepted by their child.

No I would not - since that would be too much emotional baggage for me to handle.Likewise one has to consider did she/have the child after marriage or before???

Maybe... Depends on the personality and character of the mother and child. I wouldn't date no hoodrat and her little rug-rat though.

Wouldn't be my preference at this stage of the game, however I date men with children..and, if I fell in love with the guy - of course I would accept and love his children too.

I did.
I also can say from experience that you have to be able to put up with a lot of stuff you normally wouldn't.
If in doubt early in the relationship that you can handle the issues- run away.
