It depends on the girl. Usually it's kind of interesting for the for the girls to hit on me first.

Why do people make dating harder than it needs to be?!? Either is fine. Most guy don't give a damn if they ask the woman out or if the woman asks them out.
If you like a guy, muster some courage and ask him out on a date. If you remain passive, opportunities will pass by. And if you get rejected, don't worry about it. For it is better to have tried and be rejected, than to never have tried at all. At least you have the honour of being called a reject. (I know that sounds silly, but it still is an honour.)
On a side note, if a guy refuses your invitation, realize his reasons may not have anything to do with you.

Girls can be really flirty and it's hard to tell if that's the way they are or if they are interested in you. I get girls who hug me, kiss me, and stroke my arm all the time in bars. So I prefer women approach me....this way there is no misunderstanding.
