BTW, Congressmen first make sure that you are a REISTERED voter prior to considering what you have to say. They have staff to do that. They aren't foole by illegals.

"Thank you for writing to express your opposition to an "amnesty" for immigrants who have no legal status in the United States.

While I believe immigrants have contributed much to the United States and will continue to do so, I would be very reluctant to support another large-scale "amnesty" such as the one enacted into law in 1986. Our immigration laws should facilitate legal immigration and discourage illegal immigration. An amnesty such as the 1986 program --- which provided millions of visas reserved exclusively for people who could prove they were illegally in the
United States, while granting no similar benefit to those who had been obeying our laws --- does exactly the opposite.

Please be assured that I will carefully consider your views if Congress should consider legislation on an immigration amnesty.

While I don't agree with you about amnesty, I certainly respect you as a citizen....You are taking an active role in this great democracy and that is what makes this country great, people who get involved in the process....Keep up the good work....

That's good. But is Henry Hyde prepared to vote to appropriate the manpower and money need to round these pests up and deport them and/or build the prisons to punish them?

Good for him. I wrote to my senators and congressman and got very good responses also. Everyone should make their feelings known about this important subject.

He is mimicking the views of my congresswoman. The house does not care for the senate bill at all. Which I am grateful for.
