I trim my own bangs in between cuts, my stylist showed me how. If you do trim, do it with "dry" hair or else you may cut too much off. Some places give free trims. Ask yours.

it depends on where u go i would only go where i trust someone you can still get to know someone at a super cuts or something and they are inexpensice but it is very dangerous just a casual walkin because i have horror stories let me tell you!

I wouldn't say it is dangerous, just make sure to go to a stylist who knows what they are doing.
