I need to retouch photos, erase flaws etc.

Photoshop is the industry leader when it comes image editing software but it's very expensive. A good alternative is Photoshop Elements which is basically a watered down version of Photoshop aimed at the amateur and casual user. If you're looking for something free, download GIMP - it has similar features found in Photoshop and as a bonus, your wallet doesn't get abused.

Photoshop is probably what a lot of people use, but if you want something free I'm sure there must be a port of gimp for Mac.

i-foto for minor stuff and adobe photoshop for major stuff
