that's because you keep the gum in your mouth with your lips,not your teeth.I've had braces and I was still able to blow up gum

No, I have never been able to do it. I'm more likely to end up spitting the gum in somebody's face by blowing so hard and not getting anywhere with a bubble!
P.S. I'm not dph's husband! Although I'm sure she's lovely.
