Has to be. It never says God created the Earth. It only say God divided the land from the water. Thus, whatever you want to call it was here before Genesis started.

Of course. There is not at present any living thing that is as old as 5,000 years, but there are innumerable fossils, rocks, layers of snow, radioactive elements, and many other things that are a LOT older. Some rocks have been found in Canada that are more than 3 billion years old. The moon rocks brought back by Apollo astronauts are also billions of years old.

the creation "myth" is not dated. so who knows.

it says God created the earth in 6 days. However, to God six days is a very very long time. That's the belief of Christianity, that God sees in things in a different time perspective than we do.

so even then it's not proving anything.

and anyway who cares- there's stuff going on in the world that i'm alot more worried about than really old rocks and what they may or may not outdate
