The soul is the life of the body. So ask them what causes the life or lifelessness in a body. They will say the heart beating or the brain functioning, i.e. that is what causes or ends life. So my next question to them is: what caused the brain to stop functioning or the heart to stop beating etc? And if they come back with an answer, I asked them, what caused that?

Poeple who say that apparently don't know what the soul is.
Soul, in the Bible is rendered as ne'phesh in the Hebrew Scriptures, which means, 'person', 'being', etc (and can apply to both humans and animals).
To elaborate on what a soul actually is, consider Genesis 2:7:
"And Jehovah God proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man came to be a living soul."
Simply put, by breathing in the breath of life (spirit given), Adam came to be a soul. So the soul is him. Not an invisible thing that leaves the body after one dies (the spirit is what goes back to God, but it is not a specific person like the soul is, but is simply the 'electricity' that made Adam 'work'. Just as electricity doesn't 'go' anywhere after it is no longer supplied to the toaster, for example, in the same way the spirit, after it no longer supplies life to the being, doesn't go to a specific place, however, saying that it 'returns' to God is reasonable, not that it travels back to God, but to indicate that it 'returns' in a sense, to it's Source, the One who gave it, Jehovah God).
So, as I stated, people who say someone has no soul just don't have an understanding of what the soul actually is. :)

I think they are right. NOBODY has a soul. Christians have a totally whacky idea of what the 'soul' is supposed to be. For the Jews of that time... including Jesus... the 'soul' was an enveloping emanation from the godhead that resulted from the community's relationship with god. The soul as a component of a human being (Christian view) is an artifact of Greek thinking on 'dualism'... which was incorporated into Christian dogma and lore by Gentile theologians, who were ignorant of Jewish (and Jesus') concept of 'soul'.

So... apart from the fact that all of this stuff is mythological nonsense, anyway... everyone's worries about what happens to their personal 'soul' are of no consequence... it does not exist.

I think that there are people who have no soul out there. I think there are many very evil people out there. I'm not sure what the reason is for them being evil. I don't know if there are people who are soulless and evil when they come out of the womb.

how do they know if people have no soul? Have they ever been around at a funeral? After the person dies there is no soul in the body but there is a soul

Funky jazz players from New Orleans always say it about the Irish, but we just reply that they can't hold their drink.

In this day and age, its probably more of a figure of speech. As in, to be 'souless' is to be mean spirited or lifeless.

Do you know that you are lost and unhappy right now and how much better your life could be with Him in it? I pity you for living such a sad and hopeless lifestyle and pray He will find you so He will bring about God's Salvation.

I don't know why you wouldnt' want Him to be in your life because once you do, He will guide your thoughts and actions forever. You need no longer worry, feel pain, or be afraid for He has come to save you from sin! The Lord Jesus, accept him and be free! He loves you and I pray you come to the light of Jesus Christ and truly become found and happy. If you don't, you are going to Hell and He doesn't want that to happen.

Why would you deny His presence, if you do, you've lost The Truth and The Way.

I think it means no conscience, and unfeeling people.
It's good to know "All Souls belong to God".
