Dude, I do that all the time. I laughed when I ready your question because I tend to do that very often. I wish I could turn back time to fix those stupid episodes in my life but I can't.

I don't just do it laying in bed, i do it all the time. Even moments from years ago i still think about and cringe! It's not weird though, small things can trigure these thoughts off. I cringe so much that i wanna cry lol
I'd love to wake up after a night out and not cringe at my actions from the previous night!!!!! lol
Great question btw, thought i was the only one, now i know there are are 30 odd who do the same lol
Not so great now though as i'm thinkin about all those cringing moments!!!!!!!!!! ;-)

Yes. I think of it as my way of dealing with the "history" of the day. I don't want it to repeat itself. When I was younger I had a really hard time dealing with the replay because it would just keep repeating. I finally learned to replay once, "resolve" it or not, and then let it go. That was a hard lesson to learn though.

Oh my God, I can't believe you read my mind! I had the most embarassing moment of my life yesterday and I laid in bed and hated myself all last night. Its a normal reaction in the world today as much pressure as there is on people to be perfect and look cool all the time. Don't be so hard on yourself and I won't be so hard on myself, deal? Chances are, you are your own worst critic and everyone else will forget about it anyway. Learn to laugh at yourself..it builds character!

Oh yes, of course. It is normal to feel that way, it only becomes a problem when you become obssesive about it. It's really annoying, but everyone has embarassments in their life at least once. And if you did anything embarassing, hey, none of us on this page knows what it is!

Yes. Every Night. I'm thinking about going to the doctor about that.

Yes and when I am finished I replay them the way I wished they had gone and that is even worse!

Oooh boy, do I ever. And sometimes beat myself up over them....figuratively speaking, of course. Then I force myself to be forgiving of my imperfections and stupidity. In my more positive moments I realize that the situation probably wasn't quite as bad as it seems to ME.

Oh Lord yes!

Which is dumber, the original mistake or reliving it?

I can still do it with great finesse 20 odd years on!

Sad life I lead!
