You sound perfect. Perfectly normal and beautiful.

Focus on what is really important - focus on your dancing, your schooling, your hobbies, your talents...

Girls who focus on dieting and losing weight actually end up worse because they think about food all day long and how hungry they are and then they eat more and gain weight. It is a vicious circle that leads to eating disorders and because they are so focused on their weight they don't really accomplish anything important in life because their mind is constantly on some diet, what other people think, and food...... Please believe what I am saying and save yourself a lifetime of heart ache....

Focus on the things you like to do and learn. When your mind is on these things you will not be thinking about food and your weight will never be an issue. Trust me this is true...

Um, girl, you are incredibly normal. You say you seem to be the same build as everyone else in your dance class, so what's the issue? So you maybe weigh more than them, that's not what's important. That could be anything; extra muscle from dance and working out, or maybe you have a higher bone density than most people. Different people weigh different amounts; what's important is that you're healthy, and only eating a few crackers when you're starved is NOT healthy. You may have an eating disorder; check it out, ok? You may actually be putting on fat by starving yourself because since your body doesn't know when it will get its next meal, it is storing everything it can. It's doing more harm than good, trust me. And they're called love handles cause they're lovely. Ha. I have them too, gives my man something other than bone to hold on to when we're dancing, lol. Keep your chin up!

First of all, people are right: the same mass of muscle weighs more than the same mass of fat. If you're losing fat, but adding muscle from working out, your weight may not change or may even go up. But you'll LOOK better/in shape, so don't sweat it. Keep working out/staying active (like, by dancing). But the way you're eating isn't helping. Believe it or not, the best way to eat if you're trying to lose weight is to eat several smaller, healthy meals/snacks a day. Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner . . . like that. The snack can be an apple . . . or a few crackers . . . healthy stuff. By starving yourself as you are now, your body is trying to store what little food you give it. Good luck!

It's not good to only eat when you are starving because you tend to eat more, and eat more unhealthily. Try eating 3 small meals a day and 2 small snacks. This will keep your energy up and not make your blood sugar slump. When you plan ahead what you will eat, it will help you make healthier choices instead of reaching for something quick that has loads of calories/fat.

That's awesome that you've been working out for the past 2 weeks. Remember that you didn't put the weight on overnight, so you won't see results overnight. Keep this up and you will be thin and trim in no time!! If you still aren't seeing results, you will have to increase your exercise, push yourself a little harder if you want better results.

The one and only natural way to lose fat and keep it off is to lower your calorie intake to a point where you are burning more enrgy than you take in. Simple excersise like running or jumping jacks will help. You are too young to be doing any weight training it can stunt the natural growth of your muscles. Start by lowering the portion size you eat. Most people dont need to get on a specizlized diet the just need to control the ammount they eat. And stay active....dancing is a great excersise and burns alot of calories. Riding a bike is also something fun to do to burn calories. Just dont reward yourself with junk food or a snack afterward.

My sister was a dancer at your age and she was never built skinny-skinny the way it seemed all the other girls were. There were teachers who pressured her to drop weight. I'm 27 & an inch taller than you and we weigh the same amount. I don't think I'm overweight at all. Now maybe I'm not a good weight to be a ballet dancer or something but you need to consider this. You need people to accept you for who you are. If you're not built to be skinny, then the other way you're going to get that way is to do harm to yourself (such as an eating disorder) and that is not the way to help yourself or advance in your career. If you watched "So You Think You Can Dance" Donyelle was an average build & an amazing dancer and she made it to final 4. DO NOT LISTEN TO PEOPLE WHO TELL YOU THAT YOU HAVE TO BE A STICK FIGURE. It's just not true. Take care of yourself.

Well regardless to how many times you eat a day..it will depend on what you're eating. And also by running on the treadmill can also help with the legs. If you have fat on your arms and you lift 5 lb weights, you should be able to tone them up after awhile, It takes alittle longer than 2 weeks...sorry about that..Ok well I hope I have been some help for you... :)

you arn't fat and you probably do have more muscle from dancing and muscle weighs more than fat plus it's a lot harder for skinnier people to lose weight than heavier people so it will take some time!

Rome wasn't built in a day, but was burned in one night. Keep up the good work and be patient with yourself.
