Wow, I'm lost, unhappy, sad and hopeless... and I didn't even know it! Gosh, I'm glad I have you here to tell me just how miserable I really am under all this contentlment so that you could bring me back up with your product... er, I mean comforting delusions..... uh, I mean deity. How wonderful that you come to shoot down whatever decent life I might be living so that you can build it back the way you and your l0rd think it ought to be.
*eyeroll* I don't deny the presence of NONEXISTENT beings. I can't say "I deny God" because there is nothing there to deny.

A catholic pope wrote "the crucifixion of Jesus is the biggest profitable hoax that has ever come out of the Vatican"
So before seeking salvation in a religion, the smart people do the research.
There are so many wars going on because of religion, if it were created to save, it would've done so.
Truth and understanding should be the goal.

Exactly how do you know whether someone else is "unhappy"? That is an awfully arrogant assumption.
When I was unhappy and living a sad and hopeless lifestyle, I was a Christian.
My main source of unhappiness now comes from people like you who can't tolerate the idea that someone gets to live a different kind of life and enjoy it. That and I'm scared for my good friend who's undergoing a kidney transplant next week, which has nothing to do with my being Pagan. In fact, the reason she needs that transplant is that her Southern Baptist father regularly beat her across the back. Perhaps you should clean the slime out of your own house first, before you complain about the dust in mine.
Oh, and I like guiding my own thoughts and actions, thank you very much.

You have the right to believe what you want, just as I do. But I'm quite happy with the life I have right now, even without God in my life. I have my health, friends, my own money. What works for some people won't necessarily work for others. You say I've lost the truth. What exactly is "truth". Are you telling me that your version of the truth is the right one and mine is faulty? I don't mean to sound testy, but you can't tell me I'm wrong just because I don't believe in the same things that you do. Whatever happened to freedom of religion? Doesn't that mean something anymore?
Anyway, I hope you have a nice day. Peace!

I am an atheist, though I was once Christian. In all my life, I have never been happier than I am now. With all my heart, mind, and body, with every ounce of strength I have within my being, I renounce any and all faith in God, whether Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Native, or any other variant of God.
If I am drenched in the blood of your messiah, I wash it off, reject, and renounce it. The blood of a suicidal and insane man who lived 2000 years ago has nothing to do with me.
There is no void in my life, contrary to what many christians say. I do not "secretly know that there is a god" nor do I hate god -- to hate a thing, you must believe it exists. I am emotionally ambivalent to God as he does not exist.
I live a moral and good life, seeking to end pain and promote individual and community well-being. The lack of belief in God has not caused me to lose my moral compass, indeed, in every way it has made me all the more clearly focused on that moral compass.
I reject your religion and all its fairytale stories of heaven, hell, reincarnation, life after death, the ressurection of the many cruicified Gods, among them Odhinn, Mithras, and the Christian Messiah, Yeshua of Nazareth.
I have considered Pascal's Wager and found it wanting. The idea that belief is infinitely rewarding and nonbelief is infinitely punishing can be applied to anyone's view of religion, and therefore is invalid.
I demand proof, nothing less. Show me proof of a god, any god, and I will believe.

I not lost, and the only reason I am unhappy is because of intolerance that runs rampant in the world and what it causes. How dare you say my life is sad and hopeless! I have a lot of hope.
I don't want your god in my life just as much as you don't want mine in yours. I make my own decisions and I am responsible for my own actions. I know a lot of Christians who worry, feel pain, and are afraid. Sin has nothing to do with those emotions or physical responses. As for going to Hell, study your own church history. Up until about 200 years ago it was not believed that just being Christian automatically sent people to Heaven. Only those that God elected for salvation could go to Heaven, regardless of religion. Even Martin Luther had anxiety about where he was going just like all of the other Christians. Your statement at the end of the second paragraph doesn't fit into the theology of Christianity and I don't know where you got that idea.

Christianity... the cockroach of religions...
Did you know the Old Testament was put together by The Emperor Constantine of Rome, so he could control his populace who were turning away from the idea of the Caesar as a God? Didn't think so. Have you ever compared the Old Testament to the New Testament? Have you ever read the Books of the Apocrypha? Christians are so incredibly ignorant... it is beyond understanding.
Do you think that the priests of Zeus or Athena believed in their Gods less than you believe in your God? Do you really believe that you are right and the Dali Llama is wrong, that Gandhi was wrong? And you are right?
I outright reject your foolish mythology with no worry just like you reject Hinduism or Buddhism. Organized religion is for sheep and I refuse to be a sheep.

I am not lost nor unhappy. I think my life is fine right now. I have a wonderful husband and four wonderful children. I have love in my life and I have many friends that love me and I love them. You don't need to pity me. It sounds more like you have a sad and lonely life to me. It is like you are trying to reach out for some friendship. I think I have pity for you and people like you. And that statement about being no longer in pain is not true. I have a lot of Christian friend who are in deep pain every day. Why doesn't you God help them? They are wonderful Christians who love him and try to spread his love to the world. Why aren't they being helped? I will not go to Hell. I don't believe in Hell except for the little town in Michigan named Hell. I have been there already. I have my own Gods to live up to. I love them and I will not betray them.

I am not lost or unhappy. And my life would be so terribly shallow if it looked like yours.
It's because of jerks like you that more and more people are rushing away from religious fundamentalisms. I'm glad, of course, because you will eventually cause the final collapse of the churches, but this is not very different from the attack on the Twin Towers. You're not any better than Osama...
