Hello,
You are lucky for your question to be picked up by a Dhaxem Master.
You have a lip infection and something like l-lysine would have no effect on it. What you need is this:
Vitamin B complex good strength, like Solgar "50", one for 10 days.
And buy good quality zinc tablets, crush two in two drops of sunflower oil and rub it into your lips. Do not buy ready made zinc ointments, as they are ubusitable for lips. Do this treatment also for 10 days.
You obviously have a predisposition to this, the infection stays with you latently, and flares up each time you are slightly under the weather.
In time, please tell everyone about Dhaxem, and what it did for you.
Best wishes.

No, do no longer try this - first make a salt answer - a million tsp salt in mug warm water - enable it cool then dab onto chilly sore with a cotton wool ball or tissues - this might sting yet will cleanse the sore. Then wrap ice in a fabric and dab onto coldsore (gently!) and leave a used teabag on it for 30 minutes, then extra ice dabbing, then yet another 30 minutes with teabag. enable the coldsore dry in between. desire this permits.

Some studies have shown that large doses, upwards of 1000 to 1500 mg per day, of vitimin C are helpfull in prevention and relief of various viral infections such as cold sores, canchor sores, and other forms of herpes. It's also a great antioxidant.
Are you under much stress? It has been theorized over many years that stress also impacts outbreaks, but I'm not sure of any specific studies.
Good luck!

If you're ill, then that'd be the reason. My friend gets up to 5 or 6 at a time when he's ill. It's the Herpes Semplex virus or something and it strikes when you're body is having the most trouble (like fighting an infection!)
A week of rest and relaxation may be what you need if medication isn't working.

Are you stressed out? The sun, stress, and your period causes them. You need to get some valtrex from your doctor. As soon as you feel that burning itch stuff on your lip start taking them.
I can't believe a doctor hasn't given you any yet. It works miracles.
good luck, cold sores suck :(

Your body is probably fighting some sort of infection, which is causing the cold sores. Are you getting any other sores or bumps on other parts of your body? Did you have the chicken pox as a child? It may be that you're getting chicken pox now as an adult. Please consult your doctor.

Cold Sores are a Herpies Virus...... Don't freak Out it's not Herpies Genital Virus. Once you get one you are a carrier and never get rid of them THey just flare up from time to time. Stress can cause them to flare up. Being sick like flu, viral infections can also cause them to flare up.
