I have and I experienced many things. These things aren't weird, they are comforting. I think it is their way of letting us know they are doing fine and nothing truly dies.

The mind plays tricks on us all the time, especially when we are in an emotionally vulnerable state like after losing a loved one. People believe what they want or need to believe. If it makes you feel better to believe that your loved ones are hanging around the house and creating smells for you, then go ahead. It's a harmless belief after all.

Actually, the day my dad died I was sitting in the couselars office at school waiting to quit. He had just gone to the office with my paperwork when I distinctly heard my dad's voice say "Go home, something is wrong." This was about 5 or so after 12 noon. A few minutes later I heard him again, "Go home damn it something is wrong" When I got home the phone was ringing and when I answered it was the hospital, my dad had died from cancer at 12:01 that day.

Yes my husband's Great Uncle died and he wanted us to have his house (he was childless). My husband's parents were going to take the entire estate and I had a little visit from the Great Uncle. (He was already dead). He was mad! He said the in-laws were greedy parasites. I just got ANGER! Later after the in-laws decided to let us have the house, the Great Uncle came and told me he was happy we were in his house and that he loved us. Then he left and I've never had any sense he was here again.

Do you know that you are lost and unhappy right now and how much better your life could be with Him in it? I pity you for living such a sad and hopeless lifestyle and pray He will find you so He will bring about God's Salvation.
I don't know why you wouldnt' want Him to be in your life because once you do, He will guide your thoughts and actions forever. You need no longer worry, feel pain, or be afraid for He has come to save you from sin! The Lord Jesus, accept him and be free! He loves you and I pray you come to the light of Jesus Christ and truly become found and happy. If you don't, you are going to Hell and He doesn't want that to happen.
Why would you deny His presence, if you do, you've lost The Truth and The Way.

When you lose a loved one, your brain will distort anything unusual into a sign that their spirit lives on. For example, my father lost his brother about 10 years ago. One day, out of nowhere, a picture frame of our family just fell off the wall, for no reason. He thought it was a sign. When you're missing someone, you don't want to just think you're never going to see them again. Thus the creation of religion. Religion is for comfort purposes. People want to think they'll see the people they love again because they are uncomfortable or in fear of death.
Furthermore, your brain wants to search for signs, changing your perception on everyday happenings. If my dad's brother didn't die, that picture frame wall would have just been a normal thing, no worries. In conclusion, your brain will distort slightly abnormal happenings as a sign that the one you have lost is still there with you, to make you feel more comfortable and less sad.

When some one passes from this earth - their soul goes to a resting place - it does not stay here and roam the earth. What you are feeling may have been fear - because I have felt that way before.

I can feel their presence sometimes. It's comforting, knowing that I will see them again and that death isn't the end of all things but just a transition.

Yes, about 2 hours before my grandmother died my mom and I had a real sense of peace about us, and my Dad had this strong feeling that he needed to go visit her right then and there (it was late at night). As he was tying his shoes, his sister called and said she had passed. Coincidence? I think not.

Yes, when my sister died, I clearly saw the domes of the city of Jerusalem. I am a very serious person but that actually happened to me.
