I reinstall it again but I still have the same problem. can someone help me, I'm using Mac OS X???

I've had this problem before. Very frustrating. What I did to fix it was to open a previously made file with text, mess with the text a little bit, close it, and then re-open the file that you were having trouble with.

Not exactly the most scientific solution, but it worked for me!

If both the text and background colours are the same, that would cause a text layer to appear, but you won't see the text on the canvas. Make sure the text colour is different from the background or canvas colour. Click Window → Character to bring up the character palette and then chose a different colour for the text.
