I have a 99 Jetta GLS.. how far can i go with the gas light on?

I think the gas light turns on when you have one gallon left in the thank. If the mileage per gallon is between 22 and 31, then that should be the distance you can drive after the gas light turns on

about 20 miles, but i wouldn't recommend doing it that often.
