My Dad has just lost his battle with Cancer and we tried everything in the book - Chemotherapy, radiotherapy, chinese herbal medicine, reiki, on hand healing the lot. However, there is a lot of research and experimentation going on with gene therapy (see Cancer Research Website.) If you contact a company that is currently producing experimental drugs they may allow a person suffering with Cancer to test them, this is if they pass the initial 'qualifying' tests. I do hope an answer is found and that sufferers and their family/friends can find hope and strength to battle on.

Active research is being done to find cure for cancer, however, there are chemotherapy in the market now that supposedly kills cancer cells. We dont have the statistics at hand how many had been cured or at least in remission but I've heard of people who had been cancer free for years. With surgery and chemotherapy, there is always hope. Early detection is still the key for better prognosis. Everyone should be more proactive when it comes to having diagnostic tests to detect cancer. Also be aware of the warning signs...
* Local symptoms: unusual lumps or swelling (tumor), hemorrhage (bleeding), pain and/or ulceration. Compression of surrounding tissues may cause symptoms such as jaundice.
* Symptoms of metastasis (spreading): enlarged lymph nodes, cough and hemoptysis, hepatomegaly (enlarged liver), bone pain, fracture of affected bones and neurological symptoms. Although advanced cancer may cause pain, it is often not the first symptom.
* Systemic symptoms: weight loss, poor appetite and cachexia (wasting), excessive sweating (night sweats), anemia and specific paraneoplastic phenomena, i.e. specific conditions that are due to an active cancer, such as thrombosis or hormonal changes.

By changing our ways. Cancer is a creation. And the solution to the problem is available now. Straightforward enough. People need only change their consciouness and any problem can be solved. Including cancer. You can help by being positive and not hating anyone. And by looking at cancer as a creation, a puzzle that can be solved by changing our ways, starting now. For more information look into meditation, energy healing, self healing techniques, quantum physics, cognitive behavioral therapy and holistic medicine.

We need to stop using the word 'cure'. We have no medical device or technique to determine 'cure' because we have no way to find micrometastases - tiny tumor cells floating in the bloodstream. We CAN however, permanently suppress cancer just as someone with essential hypertension can normalize their readings and stabilize them. This uses several avenues simultaneously to
- target new blood vessel formation
- suppress oncogenes
- inhibit proliferation
- correct anemia
- reduce oxidative stress
- reduce inflammation (which can lead to cancer i.e. bladder cancer)
- alleviate hypoxia (low oxygen which turns on aggressive genes (i.e. HIF-1))
-stimulate immune activity
... and more.
With cancer control methods as with hypertension, if you stop following through with care or think I'll worry about it another day, it can resurface.

That's a 64 million dollar question......
That's what researches are trying to find.
So far, we know that it is a bunch of different diseases to make up one term: Cancer.
How it starts, where, when and why are the answers we are trying to find. Why heart does not get cancer as much as other organs do?
Very tricky disease. It does not reveal its secrets to us yet. We will find it one day, for sure.

"Cancer" is a whole bunch of diseases. We have "cures" for some and treatments for many.
Some are enviornmental, some heriditary. Some are slow onset and easily cured and some are horribly quick and deadly.
It will take a very long time, if ever, to "cure cancer"

Chemo drugs make over one trillion dollars per year! The cure will not be televised. Cancer is a BIG business and is getting bigger.
Nutrition is the key, and that key is on my page

I don't think we will ever cure cancer.
Cancer is an umbrella term for a group of genetic diseases with similar characteristics that arise from a series of mutations at the germ line.
However, It maybe possible to identify one thing they all have in common and then attack it with medications. .e.g their ability to spread
