There are a few things you want to look for depending on the age. First, are they dedicated to the right things? Is school or work important? Are they close to their family and have friends? Do they blow off homework or call in sick at work to go out with friends or are they dedicated to being their best? Do they have goals and work towards them? If they show committment in the things in their personal life then they will show committment to you. The person you want to date should be responsible and honorable. Ensure that they respect you and your life and your wishes. Do not be pressured into anything that you don't want to do. i.e. drugs, sex, delinquency, not studying, not seeing your friends. You must consider dating as a pre marriage situation. To see if this is the person you would want to be married to. This is the reason for dating. You can have fun with your friends but dating is only for finding the right person to marry and settle down with for the restof your life.

actually there are a lot of impostant things, but to me the most important if that person is looking for the same things in the realationship as i do, for example if im looking for serious realationship and hes looking for sex only then you know its not gonna work ( unless one of us changes the mind, which i dont think would happen). Then of course the honesty, respect, TRUST, understanding all that kinda things.. to each person they have different importance but to all they matter!!!

i would have to say that you should look for someone you find things in co men with and you both have fun with each other and find out what the other person want in a relationships.

Stability...Do they have a job? If so, how long have they had it? Are they able to support themselves? What is their living situation? Do they live at home... with parents?
Most of the time "Stability" is first...everything else balances on that.

are they going anywhere in their lives...are they still living at mom and dad's, do they have a job, a car.....then are they a good person, good values and morals....all this stuff will still be there long after looks fade!
