Hello bbcchh,

My largest bass caught was 16.3 caught in June at Elm Creek reservoir at Winters, TX. I landed and released this hog while bank fishing a 3/4 tilapia colored spinnerbait given to me by "Wild Bill Skinner" of
http://bassmex.com
He is the man to see for booking bass fishing trips of a lifetime in Mexico's most famous and productive waters. He also books peacock bass trips in South America.

I have to agree that Lake Fork is the best place for largemouth and other sunfish species. My largets catch and release there was 10.69 caught in May on a carolina rigged phenom worm in 22 ft water near 515 bridge from a bass boat. I release her and had a fiberglass replica made at Lake Fork Taxidermy. They do fine work!

Good luck and keep releasing those trophies.

Mine is small by Florida standards. It was 20 1/2 inches long but only weighed 4 1/2 lbs, I caught it on a nightcrawler.

In deep sea fishing, somewhere near the Andaman sea in
the Indian Ocean, I have caught by using hook and line fishing,
the biggest sea grouper, which measured about 5 feet long
and weighed 70 kgm. The bait I used was a water frog.

5.2 lbs, private lake in illinois. caught on a 1/2 oz green spinnerbait during the dog days of summer.

fyi, bigjuevos, 22inches and only 2.8lbs? the fishing calculator says your 22 incher which weighed 2.8lbs had a girth of 7 inches. unless you mistook a garter snake for a bass, this is highly unlikely.
