There should be noise ordinances in your area... call around and find out what they are. If the workers are making noise before this time they can get in big trouble. If they are breaking the noise ordinances then call the company office and complain, threaten to report them. If it continues, call them again. If it still continues then report them. You can buy soft ear plugs at any hradware store that work wonders... go ahead and pop a couple benadryl (my dad does that on occasion if he can't sleep, his doc said it was fine).

I would stay away from Benadryl, it could make you groggy and grochy the next day. Check noise ordinances. Usually, at least around here, they can't start construction like that until 7 am. You better just get to bed a little earlier! Maybe Advil nighttime will help keep you asleep and avoid the headaches?

Go talk to some of your neighbors and make sure that all of you complain on the same day, or within a few days of each other. That should get somewhere. Don't take the Benadryl, you'll be all groggy, and feel yuck the next day, and tomorrow is friday! Find out who they work for and file a complaint, that's the way to go.

Just take some Valerian before you go to sleep!
A herb that is available at most Health food stores. You can get it in Tea form or pill form!
I prefer the tea and it knocks me out like a light! Alternatively you could use a sleep inducing subliminal tape! These are available at most places that sell tapes and records!

I think you could request these builders to keep the noise low as it disturbs the neighborhood. You can talk to the workers or the manager of the construction company to change the time of work so that people will not be disturbed while they are in their homes at night or any other time.

If you can't get them to stop, try putting on some music. When the volume is constant, you won't be disturbed. That's why I love my iPod and my bose speakers.
