I think it is DEFINITELY increasing and I am amazed at how many agnostics and atheists are highly spiritual beings and don't even know it....I am a theist and I have walked a spiritual path for the past 18 years wholly dedicating my entire being to the cause of finding the truth.
The other night I read a long passage written by icarus62, an atheist, in response to bobkgin sharing his beliefs and it was like spiritually looking at a crystal clear mirror, so awe-inspiring and pure. I couldn't believe it...
I aspire to be like him, not an atheist because I can never turn my back on the invisible force that rescued me, but to see the universe in such a glorious manner.
I am finding that theists and atheists can live very harmoniously together.

I think that much of the bible is out of place in the modern world. I have never burnt a goat. I pretty much eat what I want. The law is dead. The problem is that "Religion" (not spirituality) has reinvented the law. You can't do this, you can't do that and so on. I think Religion is on the decrease which I think is a good thing. I think individual spiritually is on the rise which I think is good. People are working out moral questions on there own rather relying on priest and preachers telling them what is right and wrong.

Decreasing while religion is increasing. I see a general trend that when religion is increasingly more like a corporation it looses its initial value. People feel disenchanted with how religion is taking over government and businesses instead of focusing on their main reason for being there--to help people keep faith and to teach them how to life a good life. Instead, religion is now getting into the dirty business of politics and the market. Yes, that is why people are losing spirituality because they see the coruption that the place of worship is heading towards.

Spirituality is on the decries because people have forgotten how to use it to help them selves. In the old day when the American Indians would stop and listen they listened not just for the sound but also for the feeling they felt in their gut they could tell what was going on with nature and used it to help them selves.that was and still is there spirituality. and modern man once had that that spiritual feeling but it is long gone.

Increasing, but you wouldn’t know it from these boards. Spirituality is going to replace religion before to long (200-500 years), it is more flexible and can adapt to facts which is where a lot of religions stumble. Ooooo I just made a prophecy I feel all holy now.

Decreasing, every brand of worldview is becoming corrupt from the world. It's just human nature.

Too complex are the words for me in there, however the question you have just previously asked shows conformity.
Loosely translated I don't understand some of the words in there but that's a really good question.

decreasing - I think our increasing standard of living in a physical sense is keeping people distracted from the spiritual, of course that is only true in the industrialized nations

Decreasing.
For myself, I say it's increasing.
Truly, for everyone, it's been decreasing, though.
