That church is hideous. Really awful. I have been aware of that site for quite some time, since I used to teach English composition at a Catholic college and would use some of Westboro's "manifestos" as examples of atrocious rhetoric.
I am sorry that that place exists. But whatever. If all your experience with God has given you is a hatred for one group of people, you are obviously not being blessed with the bounty that God has to offer. Nor are you spending much time talking with God, therefore putting yourself into self-imposed impoverishment and spiritual deadenedness..
That church is an example of self-will posing as God's will. It happens.

No, i do no longer think of they are the devil yet they are evil defective human beings doing various injury. Hitler became no longer the devil. Sadam became no longer the devil. Nero became no longer the devil. those human beings like Westboro basically instruct the depravity of guy. Westboro is a wicked family members (the individuals are virtually all one family members) no rely how sensible they say they are. I recommend, Hitler conned the a lot. Westboro cons few yet they reason sufficient issues to make me choose they did no longer exist. What they do isn't freedom of speech or faith yet in elementary terms certainly one of hatemongering.

Fred Phelps is a controlling, conniving sociopath. He loves attention and contraversy, especially when he is the one stirring it up. His misanthropy is reinforced by the negative reactions to him. The church consists mostly of family members who are also laywers. They make money out of people who assault them when the go out for their protests.
I'm not fond of Christianity, but Phelps is so far and away that I con't consider him as representative of anything except his own demented mind.

Probably the worst case of a misguided church in America. The truth about the bible is the the "truth" that this guy preaches.

God hates that website. They quote verses talking about ppl who have decided to oppose God. Most ppl aren't like that. There are some ppl who decide to do evil and reject God and are unwilling to repent, and God won't have any mercy on those ppl, but by saying God hates homosexuals they alienate those ppl that may turn from their behavior. God hates sin, not sinners. While homosexuality is a sin (Leviticus 18:22), and we need to oppose it, we need to love homosexuals as God does. I think God has a lot of compassion for them, since I do, and I think God put that there. I've read a study that found 52% of the ppl interview said they were sexually abused. There are other stats about having bad relationships with their parents and other things. Those facts rouse my compassion and desire for God to heal those hurts, so they can turn from their homosexual behavior and desires more easily.

at the website, i saw pictures and it is entertaining to see how stupid and ridiculous they are. there are also pictures of kids/teenagers wearing the godhatesfags.com t-shirts and i swear at least three of those kids or teenagers is going to turn gay. they are just too afraid to come out. also read this article saying how nations should impose the death penalty on homosexuals. this is just too ridiculous. also, they are not recognized as a real church!

they're totally wroooong. what I don't get is that they're supported by the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) & denounced by Christian groups - why do they try to hide under the banner of Christianity? The title alone is disgusting & shows the heart of these people is full of hatred - that's not from God.
