Wow, Jason I can't believe you have a really good question and you know of the bible. Many of your good questions seem to be outweighed by some of your nasty and mean answers.

Israel will never be destroyed. The final battle of this age is referred to as Armageddon and God will intervene to prevent total destruction. Armageddon is only about 20 miles from Jerusalem. This battle will be a war of good versus evil. The evil will be led by the Anti Christ who had been a peacemaker that brokered peace between Jew and Arab. He is to be a figure that is well respected for his peace record but underneath all he is a figure of hate. He will be defeated and thrown into a pit where he will chained for one million years. During this time God's government will be set up when there will be a peace the like of which was never before. It is widely agreed by respected people who have spent years studying the prophecies in the Bible that the Anti Christ is alive today and that Armageddon is very close.

The literal nation of Israel will be completely and permanently destroyed with all nations on earth at the time of Christ's second advent at the end of earth time. Probably not until then.
The spiritual Israel which is God's true church comprised of God's people on earth of all ages including Gentiles and Jews will never be destroyed.

The US won't allow it. If anyone attempts to destroy Israel it will be Iran; they have said it outright. The US will nuke Iran before that happens.
