Okay, I guess the obvious scarecrow isn't working. Really like your banner graphics, how'd you do that? Oh, that's right, you're the one asking the questions here.
Crow-proof your garbage? Locking garbage can lids, something like that? A dog? You may get some "get a shotgun" answers, but I think it's a bad idea to kill them. Really. You don't know what you're messing with doing such a deed. They are living things and they are pretty smart (for a birdbrain, anyway).

Take some chicken pot pie tins and poke a hole in the aluminum near the edge. Tie a piece of string to the tin and then the other end to a tree branch nearest the garbage or on the garage near the garbage- which ever is closest. aif that doesn't work.... get a cat.

Put lids on garbage cans, remove garbage, problems goes away when their isn't anything to eat.
The fake owls thing is used more for pigeons and smaller birds that make a poopy mess. Beside owls are smart birds and would figure it out fast.

First step get trash cans with lids.If that's not possible seal up anything that might be of interest to them , food or shinny objects. The trash can with lids is your best option I have never seen a crow take the lid off a trash can.Another option would be to call Fish and Game Com. LOL

Sorry, I had to laugh. I feel your pain. The only thing I think you can do is put lids on the cans. However, I got a big plastic owl for my yard and they don't come around anymore. You could try a scare crow too.

Keep your garbage in metal cans with the lids tied on. That should take care of your crow problem. They are scavengers and opportunists - if there's no food, they won't hang around.

You may want to try one of those fake owls or some other fake bird of prey. I saw something in Sharper Image that I wanted to get for keeping kids from cutting across my yard. It was a motion sensor activated rain bird type sprinkler. I think it was around $100 and took a 9v battery.
Hey, I found a link. Only $75... I may get one myself.

make a scare crow, then kill the scare crow and the crows will think of you as there hero and then they will become your slaves and will bring you doughnuts and stuff. But don't betray them cause then they will attack you and peck your eyes. then you will have to go to the doctors and they will give you medical marijuanna.
