I think we are all trying to generalize a very diverse group of people. Who are we to say what a TRUE Christian should be. It isn't up to us. I am a Christian, and what I beleive is that it's not up to us to Judge, what right to we have to look at other people actions and decide if it is right or wrong. That is God's job. And whether we are judged, or we judge others, it will be God's judgement that ultimately matters in the end.

Christian Fundamentalist get a bad rap a lot of times and yet at times they earn that bad rap but a person deserves respect for at least sticking to their beliefs and being willing to defend them. I believe though that being a Christian we should show Christ through Love rather than hateful talk and actions. We are not anothers judge and we should sometimes just agree to disagree when we are at odds in thought. Never allow a group of people to get you in a position that you refuse to consider all options and be open just because of their negative actions. God speaks to people from within or internally. Yes God can use people to minister to other people but many times believers do more harm than they do good.

Me too, and I'm a Christian (just probably not what most of you would call a fundamentalist).
But then again, I'm annoyed by it comming from all the different beleif systems.

We're sick & tired of others making offensive remarks about our religion.
Join the club.
I'd say "Pray for them," but that probably wouldn't work well for some, huh?

Yupper, here is a quote from the bible on warfare and Terrorism.
"If your own full brother, or your son or daughter, or your beloved wife, or you intimate friend, entices you secretly to serve other gods, whom you and your fathers have not known, gods of any other nations, near at hand or far away, from one end of the earth to the other: do not yield to him or listen to him, nor look with pity upon him, to spare or shield him, but kill him. Your hand shall be the first raised to slay him; the rest of the people shall join in with you. You shall stone him to death, because he sought to lead you astray from the Lord, your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that place of slavery. And all Israel, hearing of this, shall fear and never do such evil as this in your midst." (Deuteronomy 13:7-12 NAB)

I'm a Bible-believing Christian, and I don't try to make offensive remarks. I suppose telling someone that unless they follow Christ they'll end up in hell might be offensive to ppl, but it's the truth. Would they rather me not warn them about the cliff they're walking towards?

No I don't feel threatened I just figure they don't understand the meaning of "Christian."
I guess you can call yourself anything you like even if you don't live up to it.
