Children of Adam! Distribute your surplus wealth in the name of Allah; it will earn you more merit. Do not hold it back. You must not be remembered for miserliness, so begin with those closest to you.

To me it means to contribute what you can to anyone that needs help. That means whether it be monetarily or just helping out or giving of your time when someone needs it as a family member, as a neighbor , a friend or the member of a church community all united together for the common good of man...........peace & love~p~

I agree with the quote. It's better to be generous with wealth, especially when there is so much poverty in the world. Greed and miserliness are a sickness of the mind, and a lack of empathy for others.

Ha, I think I can top that!

"MAKE MONEY. MAKE MORE MONEY. MAKE OTHER PEOPLE PRODUCE SO AS TO MAKE MORE MONEY."

- L. Ron Hubbard, Hubbard Communications Office Policy Letter, 9 March 1972, MS OEC 384

"Advanced Courses [in Scientology] are the most valuable service on the planet. Life insurance, houses, cars, stocks, bonds, college savings, all are transitory and impermanent... There is nothing to compare with Advanced Courses. They are infinitely valuable and transcend time itself."

- L. Ron Hubbard speaking of his Operating Thetan Courses, Flag Mission Order 375

Now what is he implying there? That people should ditch their bonds, use their college savings, sell life insurance, house & cars to get advanced courses from scientology....

Some religion! Not even Hubbard thought it was!

"Scientology...is not a religion."

- L. Ron Hubbard, CREATION OF HUMAN ABILITY, 1954, p. 251

But then Scientology is really a destructive cult...
