Yes I believe in God. I used to question Him all the time until I went throught something very devastating in my life. During this time of devastation I cried out to God. He provided for me and healed my heart in ways that only He could. Because of this, my relationship with Him is deeper than I could have imagined. I now know what it means to have a relationship with Him. I am very grateful for the trial that I went through. God is very real, and I never doubt Him anymore.

I can't explain why I believe, it is just something I know in my heart. I don't think I ever doubted His existence, but I didn't understand who He really was for a long time. I always believed, but not the way I should. Maybe it has to do with circumstances, or maybe age, but now I know I believe in Him with all my heart and I know each day is a gift from Him, another chance. When I was young there were many stupid, nasty things i did. If I had died earlier, i would have been eternally lost. I feel like each day I have lived was a "mercy day", because it is only now that I finally "get it". I wish I was better at explaining things, one of the ways I grew or matured was to study the bible. Really study it and spend alot of time in prayer. Journaling also helps. i got "The Message" a translation by Eugene Peterson, it is so clear, so today, it is fun to read. God bless, honey don't get discouraged.

Thats a good question. Look at the Earth, the distance the sun is, how the moon properly works the tides, the astounding designs of various animals and insects etc. Can you really believe that all this incredible variation came from a supposed single cell(who knows where that came from)? the human brain is so complex and mind blowing(no pun intended) that it just "evolved" over time? To not believe in God is to take a giant leap as great as the people who believe in God. A power greater then anything we can understand is at work, and is obviously intelligent. I hope that helps you think more. Rock on.

I suppose that I could argue from mathematical probability that the evidence that suggests that there is a God outweighs the evidence that suggests that there is no God.
But it is not just an intellectual experience. I have felt the presence of God from time to time when I mediate/praise/pray to him.
And I have had specific prayer requests answered ever since I was a small child.
Well, Jesus returned from the dead and appeared to over 500 witnesses (according to Paul) to show that he was alive again.
I don't know if this answers your question or not, but one of the main reasons that I believe in Christianity is that the people who knew Jesus were willing to be tortured to death rather than change their story that they saw Jesus return from the dead.
If the apostles were lying about seeing the resurrected Christ, then why didn't they take back their story when they were individually being tortured to death? Every one of the apostles (Except John, who died a natural death in exile on Patmos), were killed for their faith. Wouldn't a liar recant this story to save his own life?
What did the apostles have to gain by making it all up? What good does power, control or fame do for a dead person?
I accept the apostles' story because the witnesses were creditable.
PS: Yes, I have heard the crack about suicide bombers, but the main difference between the modern bombers & the apostles are: (1) the bombers did not see Mohammad personally, so they are not eye-witnesses to anything (Unlike Peter, & Paul, who claimed to see Jesus alive with their own eyes and then died rather than take it back); and, (2) the bombers are killing innocent people (others) for their faith, not suffering for it (I assume that blowing yourself up is quick & painless compared with being crucified.).

yes, i did at one time not beleive in His existance... i was on drugs, i should be dead... my brothers are both wheelchair bound and should be gone by now... i almost had to grow up in a communist country... i was baptised and confirmed catholic, and one day i resited the rosary, and then i did it again, a total of three in a row. i resited it nightly since, i prayed to the Mother of Jesus, to the Saints inploring their help thru Jesus and i went straight to God. i'm alive,,, off drugs... my brothers are totaly successful...i am an amercan, now i am free... this is my testimony!!! there are things that have happened that i'm not mentioning, most people think it's nuts, i don't care but i'll keep it between God and i. it has something to do with a certain way i can pray when least expected... all you really have to do is serve others. don't hurt yourself or anyone or thing ever. and love, LOVE IS ALL THERE IS...

I believe in God,because the power I have always felt from him. The courage to go forward in a world of hate and meanness. When you look at the fresh snow or a beautiful sunset....where do you think it came from? MY GOD made it for us to enjoy.

I believe in a higher force. Do you believe God is a human? A him or a her? I don't. People use the name God to refer to the higher force that they believe exists. God for me....maybe...is the power of nature;the power of the universe, everything that we know and do not know. Who is God for you? Is God even a 'who?"
Is God a thing?
