My b/f is 18 years old and from Nebraska, where the law says you have to be 19 to be an adult. When he was a bit younger he stole from stores and stuff... he wound up on house arrest and had ran away a few times but came back... when he left he had like 2 months left of it. He left with me to Kansas, he thought hed be okay or whatever but yeah he got pulled over here and they sent him back to NEbraska to goto jail now. Im thinking he wont get out for a while atleast until hes 19 which is about 10 months. I really dont wanna wait that long because he has a job and stuff here in Kansas already and I dont want him to loose all that.

His friend had ran away on house arrest too and had punched a cop on the way out but he turned himself in and I heard he only has 2 wks in jail which is odd...

How long do you think my bf will be in jail.... how much do you think bail will be? And how exactly does that 10% bondsman thing work?

He may be able to bond out but they are not going to allow him to leave the state. He is probably under supervised probation to go with the house arrest. Contact the jail where is locked up and ask if you can bond him out. They will tell you if he has a detainer or hold. If he has a hold he will have to wait for the hold to be lifted before he can make bond. Bonding companies usually charge 10% of the bond. $1000.00= $100.00 to the bonding company. You might be able to find one but don't tell them you are going to Kansas or they will see him as a flight risk.

I don't think he will get bail. You stated that he has run away several times and the last time he was in another state. He is a huge flight risk now and I can't think of any reason that a bail bondsman would help.

You may be right and he could have to serve the rest of his time behind bars. I don't know about Nebraska but in Florida they would also add on more time because he has run away so many times.

Good Luck.;

If Nebraska is a bond state, you have to put up 10% of the total of his bail. ($300 dollars bail would be $30.) The bail bondsman puts up the rest of the money. If you want to know what is happening with his case, ask him to give his attorney permission to talk to you. Then you can get the scoop directly from the attorney.

Even if you do get him out of Jail he will still be on house arrest unless that sentence is over. He would probably not be able to return to Kansas until he gets all this stuff cleared up.

Looks like he got himself into a mess. He should just wait it out.

Have they set bail? If so then you might be able to bail him out. However, if he has already been sentenced, bail may not be an option.

Otherwise it looks like he will be in jail until he serves his sentence.

Probably not. They don't give bail if you are a "flight risk" i.e. likely to run away.

Since he has already run away, he is almost certain to be considered a flight risk.

in the event that they only ensue to be at the back of your vehicle in a blind spot and you only ensue to "by twist of fate" back over them while you gun the accelerator, nicely, i think of you're able to desire to get off without reformatory time in any respect. I mentioned get off.
