They don't understand that most of us once were, like them. Raised, like them in the 'God fearing' household. But we, have moved on to a more loving and peaceful spiritual existance.

I think one reason Christians "assume" that non-Christians haven't studied the Bible is because most non-Christians could care less about what it has to say. In fact, I know many people who call themselves a Christian and have never read one sentence in the Bible. So I commend you for reading it and trying to understand it.

I just wouldn't blame the Bible if I were you. There are many people who aren't teaching it properly or living it out the way God wants. Or their defending of the gospel turns into attacking another person, which opposes what they are teaching in the first place. Sadly, many people turn away from God because of it. If you really study the Bible, you will see that this issue is addressed many times in the New Testament.

Luckily, you don't need to have memorized the whole Bible to believe. There are some Christians who have the knowledge yet still don't know God. Yet there are many who have limited knowledge and yet live the Bible. Faith doesn't have to do with head knowledge, it's about believing with your heart.

Sometimes, even Christians forget that. Sorry if you've gotten a bad impression. Please know that no Christian is perfect, they just really want you to know that what's in the Bible can really change your life in an amazing way.

Many people who say they are Christians don't even know what it means to be a Christian. I read the Bible all the time and I know that some Non-Christians study the Bible. There are many people who read the Holy Bible cover to cover and never allow God to work in their lives. People who say they are Christians and yet say hateful things to others are those who build their houses on a foundation of sand. Matt. 7:24-27

As a person who has gone to many different denominations over the years and have my own views on religion, I often get told that I am forgetting mt upbringing and need to read my bible. The thing is that I am the only one in my family who has not only read the bible cover to cover but have also STUDIED the bible. I thin k that the Christians you are referring to think that the only place you can read a bible is in church. Crazy, huh.

It's easiest for them to believe that atheism is the product of ignorance. Less threatening. Despite the fact that American atheists, at least, typically were Christians before finding atheism, believers like to assume that atheists know nothing about the Bible. That's typically false.

There's one place where nonbelievers often DO get the Bible thing wrong. Interestingly, I have yet to see a Christian "call out" the atheists on this misconception, though I have several times. It's when nonbelievers claim that Christianity has God punishing nonbelievers.

But anyway, yes, at least in the United States, you should assume that an atheist is at least as familiar with the Bible as the Christians attacking him, and the notion that atheism is the product of ignorance is simply false, itself an ignorant notion.

No offense, I'm 60 years old And have read the Bible cover to cover many times, but that kind of reading is basic to what happened. The study of Gods word never ceases. I have learned things recently that I have never heard man say. Studying with prayer and a serious concordance. The Bible tells us to reason together. Even a babe in Christ can offer incite. I have found professors and many theologians wanting. That's why we try every spirit.

Those people are so closed minded that they don't consider what you have read or done. All they hear is "I AM NOT A CHRISTIAN" and they assume that you are evil. I know all too well how it feels. I had a lady tell me that I am a perfect example of what not to do with your life. I don't think that everything in the Bible is true. But that is just my opinion.

i think of of life as a mild swap, this is the two on or off. you're the two sturdy or undesirable. there is powerful and incorrect...this in a organic sense and not on account which you advance to believe in a undeniable way. That mentioned............a guy or woman might infrequently say something that could desire to be derogatory against somebody they fairly enjoyed except the get realy annoyed. I feal maximum assaults against others are using fact of a feeling of danger via that guy or woman or group oft circumstances have mindless motives. The added you wreck out tree bark ,ie self, and into an "prepared" theory equipment the greater human beings you run into who do not stay the tenants of their choosen faith. it is your accountability to steer via occasion and while nessasary remind people who only don't get it.

Non christians don't know what the Holy Bible actually means. So reading it doesn't actually mean someone has understood the Word of God.

When a person is born of God, they are born from heart faith. Upon heart faith, God gives child the Spirit of Truth who leads into all Truth. The Spirit of Truth washes us in the Word of God. What it truly means. The Truth sets us free.

Satan has read the bible also, yet adds deception to it. There are apocryphal books in the Catholic Cannon that need to be taken out if someone in the Catholic leadership would be willing to remove this tare out of obedience to God. It doesn't matter so much what others think. It matters what God thinks and what is He going to say to one when standing before Him at Heavens Gates.

There are false doctrines that Satan tries to add to other churches. An example would be the doctrine of the Nikolations that Jesus hates (Revelation to the 7 churches). A doctrine adding to God's Word to prevent people from coming to God's Saving Grace.

A Christian can't become an ex Christian, because true Christians have been born of God. The Holy Spirit is given to them. They are born spiritually. Jesus can never tell a child of God, "Depart from me, I never knew you.".

I love you. God loves you sooo much. Read the web site: FathersLoveLetter.com. You need to accept Jesus Christ as your LORD and Saviour. Have heart faith in His resurrection. Read whatever out of the Holy Bible that God personally directs you to read with the Spirit of Truth. God will highlight to you things you never understood before.

I am a ex christian turned atheist and I think it was the best decision I made in my entire life. I was force fed Christianity when I was a kid and didn't know any better but when I grew up I realized how utterly crazy the stories in the bible are and wondered how so many people actually believe them.

It's the people who actually study the bible who understand it as fiction. Most Christians have not read the bible. They listen to the two verses the preacher picks for that week's sermon and then go on and live the rest of their lives.
