Sorry to disagree with the question setter, but Bushmills indeed produce a quality malt. It is whiskey, not being from Scotland not whisky. I like the Islay whiskies, but the last malt I have had would be Glenfiddich.

Ur right JD is no malt is a Bourbon (please excuse my spelling)

The last i bought was Ardbeg 10yo and my fav is proberly Lagavullian or possiably bunnahabhain. Basicly if its a single islay malt i think its great but i also like the speysiders ang theres a cpule of decent highland and island as well such as Talsiker.

Just dont let me catch you with ice or i go nuts

lots out there
Highland Park (pricey but very pleasant)
Islay whiskies like Bruichladdich, Lagavullan (I find Laphroiag a bit too brutal)
Bowmore
Glenmornagie
Jura
some of the blended malts like grouse are OK.

best of all go out and try 'em (possibly in the pub). A clooeague of mine though who was keen on his whisky would only drink one or two malts and then switch to grain blends as he claimed you kill your pallette after a few and are just pouring money down the drain.

Cardhu-more of a Cognac taste than a Single Malt.

Glengoyne, 21 YO. And that is my favourite. I also like Bushmills. Goes down like a torchlight procession.

The doctors won't let me drink whisky.
My favourite was Glenmorangie, but any good Single Malt would do

Absolute all-time favourite (excluding vintage and other special editions) = Ardbeg.

Generally like all Islay malts = Lagavulin, Laphroaig, etc. Peaty/smoky taste and real grab-you-by-the-balls flavours!

Jura Superstition- for my brothers birthday. I like all the Jura malts, infact I think I might go and have a wee one now!

Mark J, you have great taste in malts, we have a case of Bruchladdich waiting, still in cask at the moment, for us in a few years, can't wait!

Bushmills or Glenfiddich

The last one bought for me is GlenMorangie. My favorite is probably Balvennie 20yr old. My most memorable was Bunnahabhain, on a cool rainy night in Greyfrier's Bar.
