i just got a perm and its horrible. I wanted waves and i got a poodle instead. i read up on it and found out i should use a straighter/ relaxer/de-frizzer--but i dont know which one to go and buy. I know John-Fredia is good but is there anything else?

You should by SunSilk shampoo and conditioner. Its inexpensive and you can get it at walmart.

My sister has poodle hair as well and she washes with that shampoo and conditioner. SunSilk makes shampoo for each individual problem, like frizzy hair, oiley hair, dry hair, etc etc.

If you was with a shampoo and conditioner set that is specifically for the issue you are haivng you will find that you hair will be more more manaegable. you just have to program it.

try buying a perm solution and don't use any rods.follow all the directions but do not use perm rods or rollers.if a perm comes out to frizzy i do a reverse perm.i use the perm solution without the rods.it's the best solution i can tell you that will not damage your hair.get an exothermic perm.that means self timing and won't kill your hair by overprocessing.use pantene conditioner right after and you should see good results.

Why don't you wait a week or so and get it straightened. If you tell the Lady that did it that you aren't happy, I am sure she will do the process for free. They have made getting perms much less stressful on your hair over the years. I would stick to hot rollers. Plus, you will get tired of having curls constantly. Good Luck!

Dep has one out for the frizzies, I only used it once but it worked and I went out in humidity to test it o_O. Not sure I like how it felt at first but then I never use hairspray products either and after I brusdhed it through it was soft again.
Dep Anti-Frizz~ I hate frizzies

That Silk product also works - sorry the name escapes me right now, white bottle, black cap.

But John Frieda's stuff is the best. Try it.
