If you're thirsty you should've gotten something to drink half an hour ago. Thirst is a symptom of dehydration, not a warning sign, so ideally you should never allow yourself to become thirsty.

Hold off and sleep on it. Post again tomorrow, then compile the feedback from your survey into three columns: Yes, No and Other. If the juxtaposition of the three columns still isn't extreme/decisive enough, you should delay until after the holiday weekend and submit a third survey.

If you want to quench your thirst, then yes you should get something to drink only make it water. It will help to rehydrate you and make you feel better faster. Sweetened drinks "cola" don't really hydrate and alcohol will dehydrate you even more that you already are.
