They call it luring a minor because he is over 18. So um yeah, and when I wouldn't tell them who he was... they beat his name out of me. Yes with switches, and I have the welts to prove it.

I don't see him getting into any trouble, you are nearly and adult and the 3 years are really no big deal. You are past the legal consent age I don't see anything illegal. Your aunt and uncle committed the only crime, damage to property.

Probably not with the phone broken. The reason I make the distinction is because if the phone was not broken - what would've they found when they took a look at the text & or photo history? 20 yr old pervert messing with a 17 yr old girl - I know there was somthing going on.

No. There is no law against buying someone a cell phone. Your Aunt and Uncle sound like a couple of control freaks.

If this is the whole story then he won't get in any trouble. Unless they are trying to say he broke the phone. Now if you two are sleeping together it will depend on what state you are in if they can get him for statutory rape. Check this site for the age of consent in your state http://teenadvice.about.com/library/weekly/qanda/blageofconsentchart.htm
This page is current as of August 2001, so if it says it's under challenge or no current law, you need to check with an attorney or someone with the police force where you live on the current AOC.

It all depends on what else you two have done, but from what you write it doesnt sound like he should get in trouble. Although people will think it is unappropriate for him to date a minor, maybe the cops will be suspicious too. My advice to you, wait until you're 18 to continue seeing him, then no one can tell you anything and you can tick them all off.

I don't think so, because he just gave you a phone.

I wouldn't think so, unless there is more to this story than you have told.
