Will we attack Iran?

I think the probability is very high. The Iranian government is making a big mistake if it thinks Bush can't or won't do it.

Please state what country you're from in your response - I think that will be interesting.

I am from India and I definetly think the U.S will attack Iran.
Well the thing is that Iran is an alley of India militarily. But
going into Iran will be a huge mistake. Sure the foolish American
patriots think that they can just go ahead and bomb any country they hate and they will lose in a couple of seconds but
their patriotism still blinds them from relizing that it won't be easy and it just might cause the fall of the west. Sure the Gulf War was easy and the Iraqi Army was wiped out quickly in
the recent Iraqi liberation war but thats because some people
in Iraq were appreciating the U.S so the job was easier. But
Iran is different they all hate the U.S and such an invasion would be difficult. Plus Iran has some unfreindly allies. Im not saying that the U.S can't wipe Iran out but only for a limited amount of
time until the tide of the war turns. This is the narration of
what would happen if the U.S made the mistake.

17 sanctions have been complete and the U.S does a few Air
strikes. Like Iraq they will be weak and confused in the beginning
but then they will cut oil supplies to the U.S. And since Russia and China do not agree with sanctions those two countries will
still receive precious oil. The war will cost plenty of money from
tax payers. After the first few Air strikes Iran will relize what they
are up against and they will fire Anti-Aircraft missiles into the Air.
Unlike Iraq they do have more capable missiles so we may see
the first casualties on a Stealth fighter. Air strikes will continue
but will not be as effective. Many of Iran's nuclier facilities may
have took some damage but to further insure success
ground troops will be diployed. Naval vessels will block the Arabian/Iranian waters. Unlike Iraq Iran does have naval vessels but they will be no match against the U.S. With a few casualties
and death tolls in the 200's the Sea will be in control. After
the ground troops are deiployed they will go through a barrage of Iranian missiles and tank fire at vessels. Apache helicopters will
pound Iranian groung positions and attempt to slowly make their way north. Iran definetly has a Air force with 900 planes and
they will cause significant damage. If American tanks and ground
forces manage to get to the villages and small towns they will
face suicide bombings from local groups. Kids will throw rocks
at Hummv's and American troops will use smoke gas.
Like I said all of the people in Iran hate the U.S so they will
make a tremendous effort to give America hell in order to get their nuclier facilities. American troops may now have to try to kill civilians which will further inrage Iranian troops to fight harder.
America may now have destroyed and cripppled Air Force bases.
But with their remaining fleet of Air crafts they will try to attack the Navy destroyers. But with little success. Finally the U.S will
try to reach Tehran which will kill many American troops
and the full 11,000,000 troops and drafted troops will be faught.
Destroyers in the American fleet will try to shoot missiles into Tehran. The hope of American troops getting into Tehran and
reaching facilties in it is not likely because local people will fight.
Syria will now give their support making it even more difficult.
The U.S will deploy a full legnth of its forces and drop
plenty of Bunker Buster bombs. But the American tank force
will be weakend because of lack of oil.Slowly funding for the war
will become dificult. But Iran can go on for a long time because
they have plenty of oil. Now the U.S will try and Bombard Iranian
oil facilities and take the oil in a desperate attempt. Iran
will do the unthinkable and attack Israel and Israel will also deploy
troops so it will be a clashing battle and thousands of Iranian, American and Israeli troops will die in the Battle of Tehran.
Now America will have to strke ports in Iran so Russia and China will have deficulty getting oil and Iran's economy will drop.
This will anger Russia and China so they will not only gie moral support but will give weapons and missiles. This will make the job difficult for the U.S. But by some desperate means most of Irans Nuclier facilities will be crippled in a matter of years. Now
the U.S will try and take the oil in desperate means to keep the fighting. The U.S will probably see death tolls in the ten thousands and terrorists may have attacked the U.S a few times
and Hezbollah will now face its attention on the U.S.
This will be the second part of the battle when the U.S and allied countries fight of terrorists. The world will be unsafe and the angered nations of Iranian allies will fund the terrorists.
The U.S will now attack those countries causing WW3.
This is what the American patriots are failing to see.

Well, only the government knows if Iran will be attacked. It is a very sensitive issue and any actions taken...will have consequences! The best way, in my own opinion, is to get rid of the regiem in Iran. Otherwise, any other actions will not have good consequences and we will all pay in some way or another! No doubt though, this crazy President in Iran is dangerous! In the end, there may be no choice but weaken the nuclear program with attacks....who will do it though? US is not the only country who could initiate an attack. Guess we will all have to wait and see what happens.

We will attack Iran if we have a leader with vision. I don't believe in war but the truth is that we can't live in a world of ignorance and pacifism.

The UN will undoubtedly fail and we will have no other choice but to strategically strike Iran. We will not invade, at least publicly, but we will set them back 15 to 20 years.

I some times wish I too could live in the Wonderful World of Disney Land as so many others do but unfortunately I will have to defend those that do!

We won't. And it's not for lack of courage or aggressiveness.

Not while we have so much of our military already deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Iran has increased its regional power and influence greatly since our invasion of Iraq (probably not the intended consequence, but one nonetheless.) And they are far more able to defend their country than Saddam's forces were able to defend Iraq. If we were going to do it, we'd want to do it right and do it fast & I'm not convinced we can while simultaneously defending our troops in two other countries nearby.

Not to mention, if we invade Iran, we seriously risk starting World War III.

There are reasons why we haven't simply bullied Iran the way we did Iraq, reasons why we haven't marched towards war with the same effort and vigor. Our approach to that nation has been much different than our approach to Iraq, yet its the same war hawks running the policies. If even the war hawks are taking pause before going in, guns a-blazin', it should give us reason to think.

Before you start climbing up on to your 'high horse' just spare a few moments thinking about the Roman Empire, Germany during the 2nd World War......we, here over the big pond are sick to death of you lot invading other countries. The reputation of the USA is in the floor as far as we are concerned, you are becoming a mega joke.
So, you invade Iran.....big deal, then what.....cry for help because you lot cannot cope with the agony. When do you think we might just turn around and say to the US 'sort out your own bloody mess, this time guys you are on your own'.
Quite honestly, we just want to live out lives in a modest way without all of the gungho attitudes which you think you have. In fact you are mainly a culture of mega overweight, greedy, selfish people. Unaware of what is really going on in the real world and when it comes to helping others, we don't see you lot for dust.

Do you honestly think you can? Why do you think "War President" Bush is all about the peace talks. America will DIE if it gets involved in another conflict while it still has Iraq and Afghanistan (which it can't run effectively).

bush is a dumbass. iran is not trying to murder the usa. there were no weapons in iraq. we're only over there to control and terrorize innocent people. iran can do watever it feels like with nuclear power. ps don't u guyz know we have nuclear weapons too? this is y we get bombed and y everyone hates america. coz we play world police. and steal oil. we did the same thing in nam and our boys were killed by the dozens. we set fire to entire villages for supposedly hiding commies. we killed innocent people than too. we threw the japanese in relocation camps coz they were "leaking information to the japanese government." we have france pissed off at us for the war. we shipped all the commies back to russia during the red scare. we pissed russia off twice and almost got bombed by them. we lost the korean war. we can't even do nething right like catch bin laden. and hail iran!

Attacking won't absolutely bring victory.Iranians love their country & do n't let others do what ever they want.They are doing the right because they are n't scared of any human,even Bush.
