Your teeth are more than equipped to handle forces from braces...Infact they are equipped to handle more forces than braces...So dont worry...Absolutely nothing is going to happen...
Besides that braces are placed in such a way(centre of axis to the tooth root) so that any forces from braces or wire movement will be distibuted equally throughout the teeth without causing any heavy load on it..Besides the reason why braces are wore for such a long time(2 years or so), also contributes in applying very small amount of forces at a long time rather than very heavy amount of forces in a month or two...
So dont worry your teeth are absolutely equipped to handle the forces...(UNLESS YOUR 80 YEARS OLD WHOSE TEETH ARE FALLING OUT...;-) WHICH I ASSUME YOU ARE NOT... :-)

This is a weird one but I am an Orthodontist and can answer this question. As other people suggested, you generally have braces for 2-3 years. That is if you do not break brackets and wear rubber bands as suggested by your Orthodontist. If the teeth fallout, it is probably because you did not brush well during braces and it lead to Periodontitis, resulting is bone and tooth loss. Brush well, eat right food and wear rubber bands - you will have a radiant beautiful smile.

Just a bit of caution for those who are so quick to answer no....If the orthodontist or dentist is too agressive in moving teeth or if teeth need to be moved a long distance....very often the roots of the teeth will shorten. This is a permanent change which can lead to the early loss of teeth due to other factors including minor periodontal disease. Also if the orthodontist or dentist puts a large force on a tooth and the patient fails to return as advised, it is possible to move that tooth right out of the bone. In general though the answer to this question is no.

No people wear braces for 2 to 3 years.

No, your teeth are firmly anchored into your skull. The only way they come out is if you break them, or if you get a cavity and the root decays. Besides, braces are only on for like 3 years. Even IF they were heavy enough to damage your teeth, 3 years isn't that long. If you're still uneasy, though, talk to your dentist.

No darlin, your teeth arent going to fall out. I had my braces for 4 1/2 years because of some severe dental issues. When they came off, I had a retainer to KEEP my teeth in the position they were in and let them "set". I have had no problems since. Your teeth are "soft set" after the braces come off, which means, until they "set", you need to be sure to wear your retainer as directed, to keep them from moving back into the position they were.

Having braces on makes it very difficult to brush and floss. The longer you have them on the more risk you have of getting cavities and gum disease if you are not brushing properly. If gum disease advances your bone surrounding your teeth becomes destroyed which could very possibly lead you to tooth loss. In short it is not very common for your teeth to fall out from braces but if you do not keep your teeth clean and do not follow instructions you are given by your orthodontist you may have severe consequences.

No, they won't fall out but if you don't keep them and your teeth clean by flossing and brushing, then you may have some decay. I wore braces for 18 months and did my best to follow the orthodontist's directions. I used a Water Pik (shot tiny jets of water) to keep my braces clean. I used to work with a lady who wore them and didn't bother keeping them flossed and brushed. When she got them off it , she had so much tarter buildup that you couldn't tell where a few of her teeth began and ended. She had to go to a regular dentist to have her teeth "scaled". Gross! Good luck!

Neglect your teeth and they will fall out. It appears you are taking care of your teeth.
