Mmm, the US has many problems of their own that apparently they can't solve themselves.
The situation is more complicated than that, and nobody has a magic wand, man. Vicente Fox can't change in just 6 years the pit of corruption that he inherited from the 70 year rule of the PRI, it takes a little bit more time.
Now here comes Calderon on dec. 1st. We just hope that finally mexico can get out of the hole that Salinas put us into 10 years ago, and Lopez Portillo 10 years before Salinas.
Interesting info: Did you know that Mexico's external debt under Fox went down from 70 billion to 39 billion? Slowly but surely.

Think about it, the US has borders on the north too, why dont you have an influx of Canadians coming into the US? Because they are a stable and prosperous country. THe reason mexiacans are coming into your country is because they are living in poverty for the most part, and seek a better life in the US. The 'hold up' as you put it is the fact that Americans can't see that they need aid, help, assistance, whatever in order to regain stability. the hold up is rich countries, such as the USA, and my country the UK dont put enough effort into helping others. You guys in the US are now feeling the consequences of not helping your impoverished neighbours - their coming to share your wealth whether you like it or not. Perhaps you Americans will learn this someday.

It was solving their problems when Fox was President....
Crime was reduced and the economy went up a little bit..
Hopefully this new election doesn't mess up the economy even more...
But, Solving Mexico's problems won't end illegal immigration...
The only reason why there is so many more Mexican immigrants is because of location....
Salvadorians and Hondurans have to cross 2-3 borders, sometimes they get deported in central American borders, (I've heard)
Solving illegal immigration would be to have all US neighbors economically stable...

The only thing that will change Mexico is a revolution....In this country that means taking up arms and defending ourselves from a corrupt and evil regime....
Hmmmmm, Mexicans cannot bare arms.....How do you expect change when the average citizen cannot even defend themselves? Its easy to say, fix yourself Mexico! But honestly, they don't have the means to do it....The only thing they can do is protest and do that on a daily basis in Mexico City....Lets be fair with these people, they are really trying to fix Mexico, through peaceful protests....

If Mexico could solve it's own problems, it would. It doesn't have a strong, working government. Potential? Sure. There's just no group big enough to evoke change.

They are too cowardly to try to fix things in their own country. They would rather take the not so honorable way out and freeload off of their American neighbors.

Of course they can ... but they won't ... and why should they? We are taking their surplus labor, they are sending billions back home to Mexico ... seems like a cushy number to me ... hell, if I were Mexico, I wouldn't change either ...
